That's one of the reasons they don't feel obligated to advance a serious candidate.

Kaje - who would you consider serious that you think would win?

I am obviously far too wrapped up in this stuff to be "independent" but who specifically do you think could pose a serioud threat in 2012?

At least pick someone who isn't a freaking moron, FFS! Palin is a tard and cannot possibly win. Everyone here has heard her speak, try to make sentences and stuff and it's just shameful. I'd hit it, of course, but she's a bigger phony than Hillary Clinton and for people to even be considering her means we're fvucked for a few years.

Shit Rob, is that really the best you can do especially after what's been going on for the last two years, if that's it, I'll take it in a heartbeat!

You're on crack and need rehab with Coach, LOL!

She's a total idiot, not hated. There's a difference.

Serious stuff needs discussing and she's not even sneaking on smart enough to be doing any talking.

If Republicans run her it means they've given up on our country.

Put the talking points away.  She is an extremely successful great American.  She is a remarkable woman, from her rise in politics to her duties as wife and mother.

You know people are afraid of her when they start doing comical things like posting her high school transcripts on the internet and accusing her of faking the pregnancy of her child.  I find it extremely amusing.   :)

I have no idea who Republicans will nominate for president.  But to say they will have given up on our country if she is the nominee is pretty silly.

It's not a matter of fear , it's a combination of  amusement, bemusement and nausea.  Any way you slice it, there is no way to defend her as a serious choice for presidential candidate.

There are no talking points on her. She hasn't done a thing other than be pretty, white and like guns. Someone who was smart wouldn't have gotten pregnant so late in life and ended up with a disabled child and would have monitored their own teenager better.

Digging up dirt is politics. Someone even found old parking tickets (unpaid of course) on Obama when he was a senator.

She has zero chance, nada, zilch of winning or even bringing good stuff to the table. You should all be embarrassed for being just as guilty as people who only voted for Obama due to race. If Obama had a pregnant teen daughter, multiple ethics issues and was stupid you'd all have a field day. Even the hunting thing makes me laugh because if they showed a black man with a gun we'd here Crips and Bloods jokes, LOL! But put her silly butt out there moose hunting between hockey game and she's somehow the perfect woman all the repubs have been dreaming of while their chubby wives ate bon bons.

I knew damn well a black president would affect people but didn't believe it would make them stupid.

Obama supporters have no credibility whatsoever attacking palin for lack of experience.  None.

In 2004, Obama himself said he had no experience whatsoever and was not qualified for office.  146 days later he announced he was running for POTUS.

So someone with less than no experience is a better choice?! That Kool Aid must taste sweet, LOL!

I'm embarrassed for those who would vote Palin.

Savage was right.  We've had one 'training wheels' president.  We know what that leads to.  Palin (and probably romney) would be another one.

get Thune/Newt in there :)

You forgot she's crazy for Jesus and also exercised her choice to not have an abortion.
When you add those two items to her very mediocre resume you get "extremely successful Great American".......at least according to the Beach Bums of the world

I disagree.  She is all over the media, making a lot of money, and being sought out by political candidates because she is smart, identifies with "Joe Sixpack," is right on many aspects of public policy, is funny, and people like her.

But you can keep believing that she is popular because people just want to make fun of her if that makes you feel better.   :)

I'm not defending her as a "serious choice for presidential candidate."  I don't have to do that.  At this rate, practically any Republican nominee will be a "serious choice" against Obama.

More talking points.  Saying she hasn't done anything is contrary to the facts.  Even wikipedia should be able to help you learn more about her background.  It's pretty impressive.  I don't like the fact she didn't finish her term as Gov, but she has had a great career.  Terrific accomplishments.

Your comments about her family are just plain stupid.  I know you're smarter than that.  Sounds like you're just trying to play devil's advocate.

Talking about a candidate's high school grades, her children, making up stories, attacking her marriage, etc. isn't "digging up dirt."  It's falsified character assassination.  Has no place in politics.  The fact it has happened to other candidates doesn't make it right.  It really is a sign of desperation and fear.

If she runs and wins the nomination, she'll have a great shot to beat Obama.  His administration has been a train wreck.

She has more experience than Obama had, not less.  The man never had a real full-time job.  He had zero executive experience.  How the heck does that happen?

I'm embarrassed for those Obama-bots who are still drinking the Kool Aid.

simple

the voters looked at McCain/Palin and then ran as fast as they could toward Obama

many of them might have done so reluctantly but they made a rational choice to choose Obama over an old man and a dumb broad

Bush's people made up dirt on McCain for South Carolina.

She's just a moron. No more, no less.

We'd be better off with an empty white house than another nitwit.

Additionally, McCain should have never been the candidate. Everyone knew damn well he couldn't win.

She's still hitable but that's all.
