You are missing the point here.
For example, if I was out on a golf course, playing golf, I would be an actual GOLFER.
However, since I suck , NOBOODY would mistake me for a PGA pro.
Just because someone is doing something doesn't mean they are doing it well.
Yes, you can compete as a bodybuilder without looking like you have much muscle.
EVERY day, plenty of ugly, stinky peoiple have sex and we sure as hell would NOT want to see it in a porno. REgardless of how bad they look , they are still having sex. hehehe

You are wrong.  Just because you play golf does not make you a golfer.  It makes you a teacher who once a month plays golf.  Participating in an activity does not make you.  I have put a new faucet in before.  I am not a plumber.  I pulled my own tooth once.  That does not make me a dentist.  Walk up to any pro golfer or competing amatuer golfer and tell them you are a golfer because you play once a month and they would think you are nuts.  Anyway, you and Goodrum are thinking alike.  That right there should be a warning you might be wrong on this.

That wasn't really a contest Howard.  I got paid 1500 to do that thing at the Olympia.  I'm not sure how much Billy got for that event.  That was just a free vacation with some cash on the side, Howard.  Don't see how I could lose that one...... ;D

And this "so called challenge" is a waste of time because we all know he's not going to complete it.  He'll make up some excuse and go into some silly tirade or maybe go and threaten another pre-schooler...... ::)

The funny thing is you were brought on as a joke.  Everyone but you knew it.  Yea you made $1500 which is alot of money to you but it is nothing compared to the joke you made of yourself in public.  That was the whole intention.  You are a joke on the internet and the only way to get you out in the public eye and make a complete fool out of you is to pay you.  you are too stupid and have such a low self esteem and no honor that you would embarrass yourself for a measly $1500 and a trip to vegas.  Holy shit have you no self respect.  You are the biggest joke on the internet and for pennies you are now the biggest joke in real life.  good job dummy.

Goodrum,  I honestly think part of the reason you "hit a nerve" with some of these guys is because they would never compete in actual live contest. Many of these internet forum legends seem too insecure to take their shirt off in public, never mind get up on stage in posing trunks.
You may not be that great a bodybuilder, but , you do the best with what you have . You go into a contest and are not ashamed if you don't look like Mr Olympia up there. 99% of those active in bodybuilding are more like YOU ( and me) then Ronnie or Jay .

Granted ,it is kinda true that you bring some heat on yourself BUT I think you enjoy all parts of this internet game.
Goodluck

LOL. No.

As I said before: not only is it his colossal lack of self awareness but his breathtaking arrogance and conceit.

Most here have zero desire to get on stage in a thong and flex their muscles. Nothing to do with being secure or not. To imply there is some envy is laughable.

Isn't this Howard the math teacher? I thought you were smarter than this.

LOL the way the thread has become a semantics argument. Thank goodness some mediocre bodybuilders enter contests because they are entertaining. Those who imagine they are better than they are amuse everyone. When young guys enter their first contest I tell them to get changed when they finish their routine and come to the front of the audience to watch the others pose and therefore learn. Nope, they remain back stage and when they are all called back for the presentations you see them hoping they might win the contest. They have no chance in hell of doing so but even with the lower places given many still think they might win! Quite amazing what goes on in the minds of many inexperienced bodybuilders. After the contest they ask the judges for advice and that is a sign of a novice. Judges don't always tell them the truth because they don't want to hurt their feelings.

Getting back to this discussion. No worries has trained hard in the gym. He benched something like 550 pounds so is stronger than 99% of guys who lift weights. He trained with Ray Mentzer and probably outlifted Ray in some movements like the bench press. So Keith knows about bodybuilding and has done some himself. That isn't the same as enterring a bodybuilding contest. He could have done that but obviously was too smooth to enter. His self-respect would have stopped him. Goodrum, on the other hand, sees different things when  he looks in his mirror and he beholds a magnificent specimen deserving of being a champion. Melvin claims he was paid $1500 to get up on stage against Billy Guns. That seems a lot for those blokes. Melvin didn't train at all and therein lies the stuff of internet legends. He promised us he was ripped but showed up looking like a fat novice and caused howling from the audience and fitness chicks. What a buffoon. What was he thinking? Well, he figured he was smart to get a paid trip to Las Vegas so that is why he showed up. Yes, but anyone with an ounce of shame would never pose on stage looking like that.

So, if I fart 10 x a night and my wife farts only once, we both are farters at some point during the night...right? ;)
LOL, damn , you are missing the point. I am simply making a point about the LITERAL meaning of any descriptive term or action.
For example,  two girls pole dancing ; one a hot 110 lb blonde , the other a 300 lb skank with a mullet and body odor.
BOTH are pole dancers, but only the blonde looks like she is a SEXY pole dancer.

The question really is, when does someone develop enough muscle to be considered an obvious bodybuilder.
FYI, I have not played any Golf in over 10 yrs, but if I go out a play this weekend ( I won't) I would be a GOLFER even if I sucked.

IF I had to choose between looking smooth and bad to pay for a Veags trip vs schmoe wrassling to make the same $$ ( like female pros PROUDLY do) I would choose looking bad.

No, my idea is more like the chunky drunk babe, that gets attention from dancing on the bar. Sure some other girls think she looks dumb doing it, but she ends up hooking up with some guys and has fun.
I never met Goodrum, but it seems to me he has fun and does gain attention from his antics. Kinda like a low end reality TV show for wacky bodybuilders

OK, now you finally "get it". I can't speak for Basille, but in my case I am rarely 100% serious when posting here on GET BIG, so yes I make silly, idiotic posts to try and get a laugh. Sadly my comic skils are about as efective as a goodrum most muscular on stage

I remember a highschool talent show where a simple kid was just flailing around up there for a looong couple of minutes.  Eventually everyone just started clapping until he stopped and went away.

Well if Goodrum is the epitome of a non-bodybuilder then what does that say about this challenge?
