No religeous stuff can be on the actual ground zero 9/11 site. This mosque - community center compound is two blocks from the actual ground zero site. I am NOT a person of faith but don't like the idea of this being so close to the 9/11 site.
Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia sure as hell don't allow for christain buildings near Mecca and Madina!

Having said that, the separation clause is pretty clear and we as Americans can NOT descriminate on the basis of religion.

 A christian can pray to Jesus or God anytime they want, in the shower, in school, on a bus, at a porn shop etc etc. It's the organized prayer, led by school officials/teachers that is banned as it promotes one religion over another which is a no no.
