i did read that 50k "maintanence" troops were sticking around. but still, a far cry from the 160,000?? that were there.

Hey, I'm glad they pulled out as many as they did, but all they did was change a few letters/command of some of the combat units, who are continuing to do the exact same operations, and now suddenly they are "maintenance."  Very sad.

Here are some issues that i'm trying to sort out:

1. seems like Muslims who have more than a 4th grade education will readily dismiss this mosque, support of 9/11, assholes like bin laden and aquavelvajad, etc.
2.  they will not do it in public (muslims don't really have a universal spokesman / leader , a Pope figure, i guess an ayatollah would be close, but most people outside of Iran don't give a shit about them)
3.  if the city of new york is so opposed to the mosque building, they can certainly stop it.  the constitution does not promise the freedom of speech or religion, it just states that government cannot ban or prohibit free speech or religion; it doesn't say anything about free practice or banning of by others.  a loop hole can be found here for sure
4.  obama's a fucking idiot for backing it up.  he has no right to express opinion either way; as president, he has no say in religious expression
5.  the government cannot prevent the mosque being built in the very center of ground zero even; but the people behind the mosque can, as i honestly believe it's an act of war and in poor taste to build it so close (due to refusal to relocate)
6.  i realize america's a christian country with christian ideologies;  it should have every right to ban the spread of islam, i'm not sure where these people (mostly mid 20's libs) get off on saying they have a "right" to build a mosque.  no one has a right to shit.

obama didnt propose the mosque. he simply commented on it becauseit had became a national media issue, and he didnt support it either, he only said that we must recognize that in america everyone has freedom to buy land, and build what they choose on it. Now there is a bill hes trying to pass thats going to put a 40% tax on premium healthcare services. So guess what? Since the companies wont pay that, itll get passed onto the taxpayer. So they wont buy the insurance from the companies, instead opting for the government healthcare, and voila, now the companies dont have to pay healthcare, and they now have more money. Yep, sure sounds like hes out to help the people and not the corporations. (This was brought to my attention by a friend who works for Boeing Corp, which has amazing healthcare benefits that cost them a shitton, now because of this theyre going to save a bunch of money).

1. Socialist health care doesn't work, look at the states that have it, they're going broke, look at health care quality of the VA, it sucks, look at medicare and the government outlets for "health care"....they're broke and they suck.
