he is a drug offender, they often drop charges when the person admits a problem and gets treatment.  rush was medically messed up, wanted more drugs, and broke the law to get them.  I can't fault him for this.  unless he stood on the radio and said "people who break drug laws deserve to be in prison!"

in that case, he'd be a hypocrite.  As long as he didn't stand on a mountain and lecture others to follow drug laws, who cares what the guy does?  He had a serious back problem, wanted more meds... can't hate on him for that.

The fact that we have limits on what drugs and how much we take is the outrage. The government thinks they need to protect us,I wish they would go away and leave us alone.

And the charges were dropped after 18 months.

After his surrender, he filed a "not guilty" plea to the charge. Prosecutors agreed to drop the charge if Limbaugh paid $30,000 to defray the cost of the investigation and completed an 18-month therapy regimen with his physician.[128

Under the terms of the agreement, Limbaugh may not own a firearm for eighteen months and must continue to submit to random drug testing, which he acknowledges having undergone since 2003.[129]

Dont sound like he got off to me
