I don't like to poke fun really but what were you thinking here? When you looked in the mirror did you think you could be competitive on stage? I know some people lose site of what they look like in the mirror so just asking.

So instead of :

30x225
20x275
15x315
15x315

you did :

28x225
5x315

with pretty shitty form. Quite the difference between your internet lifts and rl lifts.
In addition to that you claim to be clean in that vid although your face is bloated... and you claim to have 20" arms.
If you're spewing bullshit claims you'll get called out

How much do you squat ?

Hi Ross some good videos
fairly strong and you seem like you take each set to failure
only suggestion I would make is when benching I bring the bar all the way down touching my pecs but never fully lock my elbows on top this keeps the tension on my chest and keeps the tension of my tris and delts to a certain extent
I only ever lock out when going for a 1 or2 rep max
locking out for me gives the pecs time to rest
other than that fairly strong and good vids

FINAL OBSERVATIONS:

1.) I am bloated in the face!  I definitely agree, I didn't realize how much water I was holding, so I just increased my arimidex and will chill on the sodium.

2.) My bench press form was PERFECT for HYPERTROPHY.  Meaning, collegiate style/powerlifting movements are entirely different than bodybuilding movements.  When you bench press and bring the bar all the way down to your chest, you engage your deltoids more so than your chest.  If you ever watch the pro's, they always keep the ROM on the "Sweet Spot". Next week, only because I now have something to prove, I will do AT LEAST 20 reps with "perfect form". ;)

3.) I like GetBig.  You guys are a very unique and diverse group of guys, and I thank you for pushing me!

Ross - no need to take the Arimidex - just go easy on the sodium, and drink more water and fresh juices, and perhaps a glass of wine or 2 at night.

On the form issue, I have no doubt that the form you used will produce muscle growth, but I personally almost always aim for full and complete form. Having said that, there are some top budybuilders who do "partial reps" - Jay being one example. But the lesson I think, is that unless you are one of the very best, you are going to get a hard time posting vids of partial reps (especially if you are claiming them to be legit reps - eg 10 reps bench at at x weight).

Next steps - post yourself doing those same movements as full reps and all your claims will then be legit.

All the best bro.

Thanks bro.

I am currently using a liquid arimidex from a research company, it is not pharmaceutical-grade.  I suspect it is slightly under-dosed, because I am not running a significant amount of Testosterone.  I'll up it for now, arimidex is very friendly and the worst that can happen is a little over-dryness; joint pain, mainly.

I agree with full range of motion on almost ALL EXERCISES--with the exception of BENCH PRESS AND SHOULDER PRESS.  Next week I will post a new video.  You guys should also know, that wasn't an intense workout for me, I was just trying to get some footage.

Even with the past ten years not lifting much I still have 20 years of lifting over you. I have lifted in a minimum of 200 gyms around the world.  I have lifted with some of the strongest people in the world.  I have lifted and watched some of the most famous bodybuilders in the world.  I don't have a huge bench but I also didn't lift to increase my bench lifts.  I lifted for overall strength.  That being said, I have never seen anyone do reps like that who knew what they were doing.  As for the shoulder problems associated with the bench.  I agree.  But, instead of doing half ass reps, try increasing your strength and stretch and increase your shoulder and joint strength (tendons and ligaments).  I have never ever had a shoulder injury and all I do when I lift is lift heavy (since 1974).  If you lift proper and stretch you should decrease your injuries dramatically.  Doing full reps is the ONLY way to acheive this.  Do dumbbells and get a full stretch too.  I ain't preaching but your philosophy on that is something I don't see.  Unless this is something new over the past several years.  Usually when someone uses this excuse for doing half reps it is to cover the fact they are alot weaker than they say.

I have done a strict bench press with 410 pounds. Managed to get 18 with 225. So I doubt Goodrum could do 17 reps. Ross might get 20 if he is lucky.

bullshit.

although i know you were addicted to dbols back in the day so i suppose it isn't beyond the realms of possibility.

Most pros bring it down to the chest and don't lock out from what I've seen.  Never seen a pro or anyone who is doing anything other than ego-lifting or lifting more than they can handle stop the bar three inches from their chest.
