Basile might have picked the judges and bought the trophies but he did take 1st place.  Goodrum blows all the judges and they still give him last place.  Now that is fucked up.

Guys like me have a lot to offer the younger generation. When I post helpful advice here I am usually ignored, ridiculed or told to kill myself. Imagine the things people my age have done. When I was young I didn't do well in the romance department. I learned the formula the hard way. Most of the young guys here don't want to listen so I seldom offer advice. I was the guy who told Milos I might be able to get his arms bigger and he scoffed at me. Well, he never found out my advice and his arms never got any bigger.

I learned a long time ago that there is always a lot to learn in building muscles. So I keep an open mind and listen to what others have to say.

Hey, I listened to you when you ridiculed me for consuming 350+ grams of protein a day at my paltry 185lbs. The extra money I save now goes into my gas tank as gas here is $3.55/gal for regular. Also, I learned what hypertrophy means.

I don't need blue stars. I just say it to stir the moderators. I mean, can we imagine Ron up there in posing trunks? Never. The rules and privileges should apply equally to everyone. Where are Goodrum's blue stars? Ron isn't consistent. A guy competes so he deserves blue stars.

no one deserves anything. quit begging for shits sake.

i like to insult people,

you like obese chicks

theres a bunch of fags here

and alot of skinny fuckers who dont even workout,

bob chick makes a decent living off of bodybuilding yet  still comes here to argue with nobodys about anything

all of us fit in  a certain way here, but your begging, is pathetic

Comment to Pellius. Being scientific means reading the literature and research findings and accepting the evidence for theories that are held and supported. Too many hold beliefs picked up from magazines and the gym. For example, how much protein does a guy like you need per day? You claim you used to take 300 to 350 grams and have cut that back to about 200 grams just to be safe. Well, someone like you who is not increasing muscle size probably needs only 20 grams of protein per day and probably no more than 50 grams. So you could save even more if you stop wasting it on unnecessary protein. The extra will be converted to energy and it is much cheaper to get that directly from fats and carbohydrates. You need to read university nutrition textbooks and not forum hearsay for your information.

Ray Beck thought it would be a good idea to have the Mr Canada contest in Vancouver. So he applied and Ben Weider accepted his proposal. Then he found out he had to pay a substantial fee to promote it. He was busy running two gyms and an equipment store so left a lot of things up to me and my wife to attend to. We did just about everything from arranging the poster and distributing them. We selected trophies anc collected them. I posed with the Mr C trophy at home a day before because I sure didn't expect to win. I knew more bodybuilders so was given the job to select judges. I picked 15 top guys but only 13 showed up on the day. That was enough to avoid local bias that one sees in most contests. I had two friends judging. One voted for me and one didn't. That is what I expected because I picked independent, intelligent guys who apply criteria and make an unbiased decision. I even appeared on a TV Wrestling show and did my posing routine to promote the contest. I didn't want to expose myself before the contest because I was training in secret. Ken Rivard was a favourite and he asked me 3 months out if I was enterring. I told him I was going to win it! He laughed in my face. I always trained in a track suit at the gym after that. Trained in secret. Ken wasn't happy when he was announced second. He won a lot of the bodyparts and had the best upper body there by far. His legs and posing let him down. I think I was more prepared than he was. He posed like an amateur and figured he was so big they would have to give him the trophy. I honestly was surprised that I beat him. He got 5 firsts and I got 8 so a couple of votes the other way and he would have won. There you are.

I just cut out the protein drinks and worrying about protein intake. I probably get maybe 200 grams max not because I want to be safe but because I am an unrepentant carnivore. I love meat and consuming former sentient beings. I have prominent incisors and a predatory nature with a chase instinct. Blood excites me. 20 grams of protein per day -- lol! That's not even a decent hamburger. Science or not, my ancestors didn't claw their way to the top of the food chain so that I can eat grass.
