This whole thing is nullified by the fact that the company the referred the woman to Whitman believed she to be legal as she said she was able to legally work in the country on the questionnaire she filled out for employment. Whitman had no reason to believe she was illegal nor did she have any obligation to follow up on anything as it wasn't her job.
