I honestly think Dave is better off without him. Guy has been a dead stick ever since he left NY. John has no loyalty to anybody but himself. If all that I heard is true John will be out of the picture completely and will be stuck working in a cubicle for VPX. And chances are that won't even last. Can't see John being a 9-5 guy since he hasn't had to for his past 2 jobs.
