Despite the owning above being sound, I have to now admit to being a member of TEAM TA.
Why? Because TA is right about professional bodybuilding being unhealthy, yet bodybuilding principles, applied to a different degree, can actually be quite healthy. For the past year I just sort of ate as per my appetite and didn't force feed bodybuilding style as I have in the past. I did this while powerlifting and the end result was being quite strong yet thin, at only around 165-170 or so. My heart rate and blood pressure both reduced and overall I felt great.
I think TA is also right about there not being a need to gain excessive amounts of fat to bulk. Even Jay Cutler [who is obviously more extreme] stays lean in the off-season. I want to be strong and at least carry some size, but I also want to be healthy for the long haul and I think TA is right when he talks about the health benefits of a lower body weight.
