Hip Issues

Any of you dealt with hip pain?  Doc tells me it is a combination of minor hip dysplasia and bursitis.  I tried several months of PT without great results.  Anyone else dealt with something like this?

I'm working through sciatic issues that result in a dull, chronic ache in my hip.  PT was was helping initially, but after a workout of heavy deadlifts or squats I end up paying for it for days.  That sounds like a different issue than what you're experiencing, but I feel for you - it sucks.

I've heard that cortisone shots and traction provide relief ... traction at home can be rigged up with a sand bag / pulley system .. in effect it's having your legs pulled so it allows the bursa some room to displace the swelling which along with inflammation causes the pain
