again...the dre window is after flex's hay day.  it's too bad.  flex has the brand and the training background via glass in venice as parker said...so he could be doing nicely vs hustling efx for a check and  MD as an interviewer vs Shawn who just does the job better...and you can see flex is just  hanging on and trying.

I don't agree.  I'm not going to state the obvious, but really now?  Do you think if he ACTUALLY had the skills and savvy to run a business that he would be in the state he is in now?  I simply don't think that it's there.

And contrary to popular belief just because you were a great competitor yourself doesn't mean you can train others.  THere is some knowledge that you have to have of anatomy/physiology and be able to design programs.  He can't just train everybody according to what he did.  That makes no sense.

It's like these pro athletes that try to open up sports grills and these other business ventures...Just because you had a big name at one time does not mean that you know how to run a business and you're any good at it.

Shawn may be an a-hole, but he's not dumb. I don't know anything about his finances...but I knew that he wasn't going to have too much trouble landing a job after he retired.

Again, like I already stated earlier in one of my posts, Stan is VERY successfull as of now. Clearly not stupid, and very business sense, he splurges once in awhile as shown in his Porsche and R8 cars, but he is very careful when it comes to investments, especially in the long term.

The whole competiing thing is ALL about notoriety and exposure, it was NEVER  a means to an income. Also it's a hobby as well. His training business and famous clientele training is where it's at, plus numerous other ventures like real estate.

Flex got into his imfamous accident while leaving a Dr. Dre party...said Dre came to the hospital to visit him, and Dre doesn't do that (come and visit people) because of bad "personal" experiences in the hospital. Flex was like 28, 29 at that time in 1994.

Azure, I don't know, from the vids I have seen, from when he was younger, he liked to train unilaterally, and that he can put together workouts for people. I remember on his teamflex website, he used to do the over the phone counseling and workout coaching, putting together wrkout for people. But Flex is more a bber, whereas Stan is a businessman who likes to bodybuild...big difference...
Time will only tell when or if Flex can milk more from him being one of the greatest bodybuilders in the world.

Hmmmmm I agree with most of your points, but as I said jsut because he coudl train himself doesn't mean that could translate well to others.  There is a reason why that never panned out.

If Flex truly had smart advisors and business people around him, things may have turned out differently for him.  I wish him nothing but the best.  Poor guy has had a lot of demons to fight and overcome in his life.  I hope he really does well.  I'm rooting for him.

For all of you all talking crap about him, he really is a good guy who loves his family and is trying to do the right thing.  I wish him nothing but the best.

Considered? The walking embodiment of him! ;D Wouldn't having a darker tint mean you bear the mark of Ham?

actually, if anything the devil would be a woman, cause man falls for the same trick, everytime. If you look for the downfall of man, majority of it would be a woman, next greed and power, with a woman mixed in.

No offense Azure!

None taken!

I think many a man has fallen or even worse not reached his full potential because he lacked a good woman by his side.

There are a lot of bad apples out there that bring men down.

In the BB world, women have to be even MORE understanding, caring, and nurturing.  A lot  of the time you're caring for a big baby that needs his meals,  listening to the complaining about diet, and on top of it all you're usually dealing with someone EXTREMELY insecure.  EXTREMELY.

Takes the love of a good woman to bring you past all that to get you to your personal best and vice versa.

But the good guys on here...be careful.  A lot of women are looking to screw over the nice guys. Don't let em.
