Last NPC Contest / MLB will adopt ideas
« on: October 21, 2010, 01:14:56 PM »
The 2010 NPC Ga state will be the last NPC contest I judge. For the past two years, I have only judged the NPC Atlanta and NPC Ga state. The promoter of thse two shows, only has bodybuilding at his contests. I have no clue as to how I would judge bikini or the new male fitness physique, etc. Besides, with my attitude , I wouldn't be a very effective judge for these folks.

If the NPC wants to have its' contest feature 80% bikini and fitness models, that is their choice. It is also my choice to NOT judge it. I  won't be buying any finals tickets for NPC or IFBB events that are majority figure/bikini/fitness. Once again, with my current feelings, it is a good idea that I no longer judge.

The ironic thing is that I will go ahead compete in a small, regional contest after 15 years away. I'll pick a contest around April or May next spring and post the pics her at GETBIG.  I am going to keep my involvement in BB  positive and enjoy things on my own terms , etc. I simply want to be involved with just BODYBUILING and "live and let live".

when will you have the time to train and diet when you're so busy posting the same threads over and over and over on several different boards?

i agree with your views. why open an avenue for people who don't want to work very hard, or diet and sacrifice for months.  these contests are like saying - 'take it easy, don't push yourself. if you have too much muscle or not enough bodyfat you will be marked down'. for every person that has the willpower to compete in bodybuilding ; there are 10 that can coast into one of these bikini/fitness shows.

I'm pretty aware of the politics of Ga's NPC.

It is not that anyone fixes shows or anything you can point at and say it is wrong.
It is more "group think and insular like minded culture, nothing more.
Rope is ok and is doing his thing, so I have nothing against him.
I am an "outsider" as I work in a field completly outside of bodybuilding, fitness training, gyms, etc.
I am not into the groups culture and ideals and it is, what it is.
Doug Jerry is a very decent man and is head judge at most Ga NPC events

That was the vibe I and some friends picked up.  More a "boys club" kinda thing.  And it was always a plus to be one of the recognized guys.

Yeah, that is it exactly. NOW, with it going to an 80% bathing suit divisions format,  I am pretty much done with it.

Do you ever shut the fuck up? and no you will never compete.

The new diviison is great for people who trains hard and dont wanna take the aas use to such levels that hrt are needed for their rest of their life. BUHU they actually care about their health. And they dont wanna feel like 11 yr old girls when they come off. And you complain? FUCK OFF.

And the killing of the HORRIFIC cancer named FBB is also GREAT. So the poor manipulated women doesn't have to run around looking like frannkenstein and sounding like vin diesel to win a worthless trophy and still loose money in the process.

Fbb's parent all over the world are crying in joy.

The men will still be huge.

So once again fuck off and stop sounding like a fucking WOMAN, With your 24/7 complaining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the only "good" thing that has happened in the "ifbb" in a Long ass time.

Well Swede you are in the majority on this issue and most think you are cool while I am long winded gas bag.
I guess you are hopeful that my posting on getbig will end with FBB.
While the IFBB and Bob Chick may have driven a stake into the heart of FBB, I am a lot harder to kill off.

Thanks for the kind words, but BB is a pretty small % of my actual "life".
Ya know, while I judge 1-2 shows per year and go to a couple as a fan, the majority iof my BB life is on getbig and MD forums, sorry to say. The reality is I may finally fade away and let my involvement in any BB die for good. I have not competed in 15 yrs and just get a wild hair on my arse to compete again but it fades quickly like a bad fart hehe
If I had to bet I would say I will lift but also run some 5k,10k half marathon type events to keep me fit and active.
Thanks again.

LOL, far bettetr to let sleeping dogs lie hehehe.
My posing trunks are so old/ dusty, they would fill the room with fog if I tried to dust 'em off.
I am getting more into distance running and hiking with my dogs these days.
I am entered / running a 5k on Nov 6. I am slow as a turtle in anything long, but enjoy it.

I once read somewhere that the "Ropeman" promoted a big show and the winner wasnt paid-

I also read that when Orville Burke won a show, and a new motorcycle was included as a bonus along with the cash,  the bike he got he was sent a long time later was an old p-o-s that wasn't the same one as was displayed on stage-

how does this shit go on-    not that this effects me-   but just interested

I don't know anything but some vague rumors and gossip about that.
In bodybuilding it is hard to know where the truth starts and the rumors begin.

MLB will adopt IFBB/NPC new multi division ideas into world series
« Reply #22 on: October 26, 2010, 09:35:15 AM »
The IFBB has expanded its divisions to include everything from female bikini to farting . In it's current and future line up, with WPD and MPD in board shorts. In that spirit and wisdom, major league baseball (MLB)has decided to use that philosophy to help promote baseball at this yrs world series.
The first 5 innings will have "some guys" playing wiffle ball on the field . MLB figures that a lot of these guys feel bad they can't hit big league picthing, but should still be able to play in a real world series. They will play a team of females, wearing matching thongs and bikini tops. The girls won't hit , run or field, but simply stand on each base and look pretty. The girls will "score" based on their ability to stick their butt out as the other team runs the bases.Of course, the wiffle ball will be hit off a tee as pitching it could cause someone to miss it.

By the 6th inning the actual MLB teams might be able to take the field.
This will be determined by an on line poll of the fans interest and desire.

MLB knows that NOT everyone has the ability and drive to be a real, big league baseball player.
This new , all inclusive move should increase the baseball fan base and  respect for the sport.
What idiot, would think that a baseball fan would want to see only baseball in the world series...geeeeeesh. ;)

Baseball would be expanding it's brand by including wiffle ball, girl's softball, kickball, etc.  It's good for sponsorship to include as many divisions as possible.  If you don't like watching wiffle ball during the middle of an MLB game, get up and move around, "talk shop" with other fans.

If the MLB wants to expand their brand then maybe they shouldn't charge licensing fee's to Little League and Pony League and their divisions. As it stands now, they are not allowed to name little league or pony league after MLB teams unless they pay the licensing fee's. Most have basically said "f**k you" the MLB.
