look up the youtube vid of him in a Ferrari 640 F1 car vs Jeremy Clarkson in a street car...both were on top Gear at the time. also look for the youtube vid where he was racing Porsche 962s for a privateer company...The man maybe cheesy sometimes, but he knows his stuff.

Ugly , ugly and ummmm ugly and I like some ugly cars , the Japanese should really sub-contract their design to Italy , same with the GT-R , the styling leaves a LOT to be desired , interior is beautiful though

I wonder who their demographic is because your typical Ferrari owner I'm sure wouldn't be in the market for one of these or neither would your typical Porsche owner and that price over $500K USD  :-X

Jason Plato from Fifth Gear is "kinda" good too (not better than the average getbigger of course).
Too bad the LF-A will remain known as the car in which Hiromu Naruse was killed in.

All 500 of them have been picked up, so the people who can afford it, obviously wanted it. And to discuss that 375k is too much for a car (which is actually leased for 2 yrs), when one doesn't have the money in the first place is kinda moot. That's like saying you wouldn't spend 1.6 million for the Bugatti Veyron Supersport, when one is making 30-100k a yr.

Just because all 500 have been picked up doesn't mean people bought them , as usual the dealers and people who will turn them around for a profit are usually first in line and then tack on some ungodly premium

Nigel Mansell who drove for Ferrari at the time doubled his money on an F-40 after he got his , as did most owners , needless to say Ferrari was rip-shit hence they good old lease for the F50 , Some dealers were marking-up 458's to the tune of a 100K needless to say they just sat , now with the recall who knows what that will do to prices.

Well, supposedly, all "buyers" had to sign a 2 year lease agreement, after the 2 yrs up, you can decide to own it. BTW, go to the Lexus site for configuration of the LFA, look at those colors you can get it in. Pink? Purple? Doo-Doo Brown? Ewwww!

Looks like they're copying Ferrari and that failed needless to say which is why when the Enzo came out it didn't come attached with the lease program , I love fast cars but I just don't get who would buy this considering what else is out their , Lexus doesn't have a racing heritage it's known for luxury cars which are outstanding but this is an odd car not just based on looks either

on another subject you see Porsche's answer to the 458? the Turbo S? holy shit you thought the 458 was fast this car just rapes it in acceleration

458 0-60 3.3
Turbo S 0-60 2.7  :o

458 0-100 7.5
Turbo S 0-100 6.4

458 1/4 mile 11.5@125MPH
Turbo S 1/4 mile 10.8@129

for 100K less to boot

where you get the numbers...here is the thing, the 458 beats the Enzo, the Scud around Ferrari test track...but, Ferrari apparently doesn't want any car to officially beat the Enzo's 0-60 and other times. So they say that the 599 GTO for instance does 0-60 in 3.35 secs, when the reg 599 does it in 3.2 or less.
MT had tested the Scud in 3.1 secs, and the 458 is faster....it has been said by numerous people that until the new Enzo replacement comes out, all "official" times from Ferrari will reflect that the Enzo is still on top.

Porsche's Turbo S, it's that PDK, ironically they didn't put it in the GT2 RS due to weight. But what I'm waiting for is the Panamera Coupe (928), which, if produced will go up against the 599/ and 599 replacement, DB9 replacement, Bentley Continental GT, basically all luxury front engine performance GTs, including the new M6. Which I think, will be a good comparison. A 4.8 liter TT V8 with AWD vs 4.4 liter TT V8 RWD

Car and Driver Nov 2010 is where the numbers are from

they tested those plus the Vantage , SLS AMG , R8 5.2 FSI as well , Around the Reno-Fernley raceway the 458 was fastest doing a 1.32.7 around the track and the Turbo S was second coming in at 1.33.2 which shows despite being down in acceleration as usual Ferrari outhandles the Porsche

You know what is ironic? The 458 has a electronic diff, no LSD...yet it handles like it has glue for tires. Also has a DCT tranny like the Porsche, but coupled with the Porsche AWD, the Porsche will have the better straightline numbers

The Porsche is just a fucking monster in the acceleration not only because of the AWD but also the of the advantage in torque 516 ft/lb at just 2100 rpms compared to the 458 which max 398@6000 rpm , you need to get that 458 screaming before you see any torque , reminds me of the Honda S2K

I think overall the Turbo-S is a better car even though I would rather have the 458 just because of the way it looks but Ferrari throws down the challenge and Porsche as usual just answers in grand fashion

Wrong, veyron worths every penny it costs and if I can bring home 10mil/yr, I'll pick up one. But who's gonna pay that much for a fucking Toyota? Right, they pick up toy around for couple months, then back to the dealer lot. We got ppl who lost 1mil at casino per night, 400k don't sound too bad. So let me guess, for someone who spends all his time on getbig like urself have a precious job to spend 400k on a car right? ;)

I was justifying the price of both...and oblivously 500 people with money think differently  . And that Toyota will lose money on every LFA sold, because they engineered everything, but hand, everything is bespoked. They even created their own carbon fiber loom. All the r&d they did w/o outside companies, unlike Ferrari, which would farm out parts and r&d (tranny, electronics, styling, etc). That 4.8 liter V10 is directly related to and developed from their F1 program.
All this really means is that all future "F" products and sports cars from Toyota will benefit from the enormous r&d spent to produce the LFA.
