I seen lots of calculation in ft/sec etc, I don't have a problem with it in everyday use, but the fact that school teach in it baffles me.
Clinton was a liberal in the social sense, but his policies, were pretty right of center. Healthcare is one of those things, that make me a commie lover to american's yet I'm pretty right of center myself, it's something that almost every western country has access to, yet american's have a million of people without coverage.
Hillary tried to get a healthcare bill passed during Clintons first term, but if failed miserably.
as to the millions without it, they can still receive healthcare thru medicaid, not to mention in virtually ALL hospitals in the US a person can not be turned away at the emergency room, regardless of insurance status. Too many foreigners think for some stupid reason, people without insurance are just left to die in the street. Not true at all.
Could our system be better? Sure. but I wasn't impressed with Germanys when I was stationed there either, we had to use the local hospitals and the waits were out of hand for any treatments. Maybe its changed there now...I don't know.
the biggest problem with our healthcare is the combination of insurance companies being out of control and the lack of tort reform to keep physicians protected against frivolous law suits. Correct those two things and it would drive down the cost massively.
And Obamas healthcare plan did neither one.
