do you realize that jay has finished first or second in EVERY olympia for the last decade (minus 1 year he didnt compete)

won the arnold classic  at will

was the first guy to lose the olympia, and in the face od industy-wide doubt and adversity..........came back with his arguably his best package ever

started out from the bottom of the fuckign bottom climbing his way from the "did not place" catagory to a multiple time winner

i think jay cutler has earned his fucking warrior stripes (as much as one can be a "warrior" in a sport where you job is to oil up and pose in a thong for other men)

but seriously jay is probably the most impressive of them all, cause he, on paper, shoudl never have been a good bodybuilder
Jay has had more help getting to where he is than Clarence Thomas. When Jay first came on the scene he was getting Magazine covers, remember the infamous 1996 MuscleMag towel cover shot? Then he was giving the Arnold Classic twice over a better conditioned Cormier---Johnny Fitness had said that Jay's back was thicker and more defined than Cormier's...and the pics proved otherwise. Jay is and has been a marketer's wet dream, Mr. All American (and we won't go into what that entails). If Jay was actually for the competition, he wuldn't have lost in the first place. They were sending him a signal. And then he won over The People's Champ, Phil Heath, with a package that was not as good as last year...and He still hasn't gotten rid of the wrinkles in his back.

He's no gym warrior, no hardcore, he's no Aaron "Mr. Intensity" Maddron, but what he is, is Mr. O. No, he won't be known for his insane lifts 5 weeks out from the Mr. O, for his insane back detail, density, or beating a prime 1993 Flex Wheeler. Nor will he be known for being the Lion that held off the Leopard known as Shawn Ray or the Jaguar known as Kev Levrone. He won't be known for losing to Gunter, and then coming back and outmassing him....No, Jay will be known as just as that, Jay Cutler, Mr. O, no shock, no awe inspiring motivation for kids of another generation, but just a footnote.

Great post...100% true...this is not a personal attack on Jay just the truth...Jay looked good for 2 of his 4 Olympia's and in my opinion didn't deserve this last one)...His best years were wasted trying to beat Ronnie...

Hopefully, years from now MmadMaxx6 won't be asking for a apology like Clarence Thomas' wife.... ;D ;)

It is what it is, and you know what, I think Jay knows that. It would be awesome for Jay and Ronnie to actually train together, for Jay to see, first hand, just how intense, even a maintenance level Ronnie Coleman is.

Flex and Shawn couldn't hold Haney's jock....I'll agree with you Dorian was too much to handle and any talk about Haney continuing would be theoretical but he had the body to do it...He was just under 6'0 and had the frame to be 275 shredded and with a decent waist...The only thing that is clear is that no one matches Dorian's dryness, back thickness or those awesome calves...Ronald kills on on everything else...Ronnie could at 287 would make a 260 Dorian look awfully small..Look what he did to Cutler in 03 and Cutler was huge.

Haney would have lost to Flex 93 easily

Wow, between this thread and the one about Dorian posing in the 96 German GP, Hulkster has his work cut out for him till the end of the week.

Look forward to seeing pics from the 99 Olympia for the 845759590484737394474857 494957574383903032933737 485050th time 8)

He will be cleaning the glaze off of his keyboard for weeks to come.

Second only to a peak Yates. Other than that, nobody better.

Ronnie was in a totally different league - Yates does not even come close!

Dorian was lucky Flex got into that unfortunate car accident, if not he would've been a 4 time Mr O instead.

Dorian was lucky Flex didn't compete both years he was off, if not the story would've been different.

An improved version of 93 Flex would've beaten Yates in 94. Dorian was off.

and if grandma has a penis........she'd be grandpa

flex COULD have done a lot of things.....but his potential was never realized fully

i mean he was successful and had a great career, but he was surely capable of more

could he have beaten dorain, sure, but he didnt...........dorian was there, year in year out, never let his personal life get in the way like flex did........and thats another reason why dorian is a champion

a champion isnt always the guy with the most talent and natural ability, often it the guy who wants in most

So you're agreeing Dorian got lucky Flex got into those unfortunate events?

no absolutely not........there was no guarantee that flex would have EVER beaten dorian.......as a matter of fact, the exact opposite is a better guarentee...........beca use each time they competed dorain beat him

luck has very little to do with it, dorian did the work to be the champion .........flex worried about buying 40,000$ sound systems for his truck

of course flex had the potential to beat doz, but he didnt..........paul dillet had great potential as well.......

lot of people "could have done" or "might have done"..

Dorian competed during the best era in bodybuilding and dominated.  He finished 2nd in 2 of his first 3 pro shows and never lost again.  I would put Dorian and Lee Haney above Ronnie in the all-time greats list.

No the fuck it doesn't...Look at the Ronnie Dorian competed against then look at Dorian in 1997...nuff said...So are you going to tell me you think a 98 Ronnie would have lost to a 97 Dorian?...Even is he hadn't torn his tri...his waist was blown out his quads were skinny and his arms where small as fuck....he would have gotten raped by 98 Ronnie and any Ronnie after....We can talk all day about 93 Dorian vs. whatever Ronnie...bottom line is 8 Mr. Os and most wins ever and a 15 year career and vs. Dorian's 6 year career...So much staying power Dorian had. Overall Ronnie is the best ever.

Ok big guy, Dorian had 'skinny legs and small arms', seriously you need to think before you talk.Im guessing you have over 18inch arms and bigger quads? To call any Olympia competitor 'skinny' is just pathetic ;)

Terrible posing.

What you say here is true and I'm definitively not implying Dorian didn't work hard. I actually think he worked harder than Flex, but in 94 he was off (to his own standard) and Flex was the only guy that had the potential to beat him.

Let's face it, after his accident Flex was never the same and I honestly think he could've beaten Dorian in 94. 97 is the same.
