The worst things out there are the fake roids that are marketed, like "Dekka", "Annadrol" "Dianobol", etc.

His website, anthonyroberts.co.za, has been removed because of his affinity for destroying companies through fraudulent information and libel, and this post is no exception. His previous website, blog.anthonyroberts.com, was also seized by federal marshals. Before his latest site was shut down he wrote 20 negative posts about Progenex in just 2 months - do you think he probably has an agenda?

Anthony Roberts had an agenda. Ha hated a lot of things, and loved to get stories out there to hurt people without even looking into some of the facts behind it.  Unfortunately, many of the stories he wrote were off based, accusing things without any proof.

He is now being subpoenaed for criminal libel and threats and investigated by police. He and Vince Andrich are part of a criminal ring led by Dr. Scott Connelly, that have been linked to hate crimes against jews, gays and others. They have made it their mission in life to spread false information about our company because Andrich and Connelly are being sued by Progenex for fraud and breach of contract, and Roberts is the outlet they've utilized to defame our company.

Frankly, this is a case between the investors of Progenx and Scott Connelly, in which obviously, things went bad, and are now sueing each other over confidentiality agreements, contract disputes and more.  The Progenx formula, when I looked into it, looked to be a viable and exciting product, which was high mainstream, based on Scott Connelly's own exciting discussion when we talked when it just was in its infancy.

As for Vince Andrich and Yemeni Mesa, come on now - there are not against Jews, gays or anyone else.  I have known both of them for 10+ years, and although we have our difference, accusing them of hate crimes is not fair.

With regards to the financial information that has been posted, Mr. Roberts has manipulated documents to show illogical conclusions in furthering his agenda. Mr. Roberts (or Connors) failed to include one huge cost that was not accounted for in those numbers - the cost of the protein, which is BY FAR the largest aspect of COGS. Since Mr. Roberts has spent his life trying to destroy companies instead of building them, he understandably has no concept of how to read an Income Statement, and the difference between cash and accrual accounting.

Here I agree with you - this guy doesnt care about people nor companies, and in his blogs, wrote about things which were bullcrap, including about me and many of my friends.  Obviously, the right type of protein is very expensive, and there are a myriad different kids of protein (isolate, WPC, casein, Hydro) and different processes, and how much real protein is in a 100% protein.

LOL, looks like Roberts got yet another post removed, the same day he made it: http://www.anthonyroberts.org/1210-everyone-is-laughing-at-you-tony/

With regards to Vince & Yemeni, both of them have continually bashed our company publically, doing everything possible to harm us, including on this forum. I have dozens of screenshots proving this. As a matter of fact, Yemeni posted a photo-shopped picture of an orthodox jew holding a rat, with a puppet holding photos of myself and my business partners on a string. The photo was entitled "The Fraudfather," and if you'd like to see I can email it to you.

We can agree to disagree about those two, but as long as we're on the same page with Roberts, you'll always be alright in my book :)

Go from good to great with our function-specific post-workout regimen. Get more of everything you want:

• MAXIMIZE PERFORMANCE. If your training program or sport requires that you build more muscle, lose fat, or take on multiple workout sessions each week, the ability to come back faster and go stronger means you'll perform better.

• REACH NEW GOALS SOONER. Get on the "new personal bests" fast track by taking PROGENEX Recovery after every training session.

• OPTIMIZE BODY COMPOSITION. Maximizing muscle size has a direct effect on your muscle-to-fat ratio, causing significant changes in your metabolism. Not only do you burn more calories during exercise—having more muscle revs up your metabolism for up to 48 hours after your training session.

• COMPETE BETTER, LONGER. More Muscle targets Type II muscle fibers, the kind that enable you to increase your performance in events that include both short- and long-term anaerobic activities.
PROGENEX Recovery and PROGENEX More Muscle are comprised of the most rare and elusive whey protein fractions found today. These "fractions"—which are not available in any other product—enable you to:

• Recover faster and train more frequently. Take on your most brutal workout, and do it again the very next day—with no force loss.
• Build more strength and muscle by accelerating the process that delivers 70% of all exercise-induced muscle gains.

• Significantly improve body composition by increasing 24-hour energy expenditure, forcing your body fat to pay for the "extra" metabolic cost.
The key to PROGENEX Recovery is Promorphogen,™ the highest quality whey protein isolate available, that has been hydrolyzed through a proprietary enzymatic process. This procedure "cuts" the protein into tiny peptide sequences that can be quickly absorbed into the bloodstream. Fast absorption is essential to the recovery process, and these minute protein fractions have been proven to do just that.

PROGENEX More Muscle contains a full 20 percent more bioactive branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) and leucine than regular whey protein isolate. The precise amount of BCAAs added to PROGENEX More Muscle were carefully calibrated, as the leucine content of whole proteins is directly related to how much protein your body will integrate into muscle. What's more, this effect cannot be reproduced by simply adding extra leucine to whey protein isolate or other proteins. Immediately after training, combine 2 scoops of PROGENEX Recovery with 2 scoops of PROGENEX More Muscle and add to 12 oz. water. Shake until blended.

For additional gains, consume a second PROGENEX More Muscle shake first thing in the morning. (2 scoops of PROGENEX More Muscle mixed with 12 ounces of water).

On non-training days, consume one shake first thing in the morning. FAQ RETURN POLICY SHIPPING INFO TERM OF USE PRIVACY POLICY CONTACT Copyright © 2010. Progenex Dairy Bioactives, Inc. All rights reserved.

Don't forget the top secret ingredient: "Promorphogen"

I wonder how much it's going for in the black market  :o

protein powders are pretty necessary for me

it hard to eat all that protein , especially if you want clean protein

its easy to eat some fatty ground beef, but if you just want a lot of protein, with little fat and carbs.......easy to just drink whey protein

what are your guys opinions???    is all whey pretty much created equal from the six star stuff at walmart to more expensive isolates...........is the more expensive stuff worth it

what are your opinions?
theoretically this seems like a good idea

but in application, i dont think it's a good idea

because those powders are garbage

I think Vince G. was talking about this a while back.
I feel bad for the suckers that buy shit like this.

http://www.steroidtimes.com/progenex-manufacturing-costs-versus-retail-costs/2010

Want some protein, eat a can of chunk lite tuna (60 cents) and have a glass of Milk (50 cents).

Progenex has made every effort to achieve market position as a premier brand of recovery protein, in an effort to justify their average price of $62.50 per bag of protein (1 bag of More Muscle + Recovery = $125/month). However, to achieve roughly $30,000 in sales (which equated to just under $20,000, after tabulating various discounts), Progenex spent a mere $2,600 in production costs.

If the costs for the packaging (the bags) is subtracted from their total manufacturing costs, plus paying a company to put the protein in those bags, the total cost for $30,000 worth of their product is just around $2,000. If the discounts are added in, we find that Progenex is selling Crossfitters $2,000 worth of protein for $20,000. Therefore, according to their own financial reports,  each $60 bag of protein costs about $6 to manufacture.

If you’re a Crossfitter thinking about buying Progenex, please consider that you are actually paying $60 for a $6 bag of whey protein, and the rest of your money is going into the pockets of people like Darren Meade.

And when you eat the .60 cent can of tuna, none of that money goes to the tuna, but lines the pockets of the company that makes it.   What's the difference?   If people are dumb enough to buy it, it's on them.

EDIT:  Just realized I responded to a post from 2010.
