Rappers can't carry a song on their own

Surely if you can't do a song on your own without "collaborating" then you suck fat donkey balls and need to die?! Case in point Kanye West. Or any of them. If all their songs only features them people would die of boredom. Imagine Elvis, Bob Marley, Eric Clapton, Even Michael Jackson or Prince needing to collaborate with Gwen Steffani just to shift enough records to justify their existence?!

Pharrell can't rap or sing, why is he a big deal?

He's a producer primarly. But as he's an attention whore as well he insists on spitting a few unnecessary lines himself before he sells a beat.

Pharell is a excellent producer...

But, the collabs hae been going on for a while now...it's a marketing thing...I agree many rappers can't carry a album by themselves...most of the best R&B artists do a whole album by themselves...Case in point Maxwell, Chico DeBarge, Joe, etc,
I hate when you hear on the radio, a new album that just drops from a artist and they say, "Featuring Cee-lo, Rick Ross, Jay-Z,  Common, Immortal Technique, Mos Deaf, Fat Joe,  Lil Wayne, Drake, and Kanye West", and then you go, "ohh did y'all hear that new one with Rick Ross?"

.  Yea pharrell is dope. I'm on an iPad and really don't want to go through the hassle of posting YouTube videos on this thing cuz copy and pasting is a bitch but he has so many sick songs. Frontin, beautiful, drop it like itshot,  I'm good, and all his shit with nerd and Clipse...  Dude has had his hands in a lot of different stuff and most all of it is coo. He does get a bit too abstract sometimes and goes off the mark.

Pharell is not cookie cutter....he's more "out there" come on "Star Trek", dude is outamongst the stars and shit, wearing his BAPE, plus he is a skateboarder...if you know the area where he's from in VA, you know he comes from a area of musicians---Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Chris Brown, etc...

Clipse, well, they have that drug dealer past, but their rhymes are unigue, their flow is unique, remember "Keys open Doors",

what do you like, it seems that you criticized, but give no good examples of stellar performers, like you have a "Rage against The Machine" vendetta

i dont really see how any one rapper can be 'better' than any other...they all do the exact same thing (talk over a pre-programmed beat whilst 6 of their entourage walk around the stage and contribute the occasional 'yeah!' 'uhh!')
