Kind of thought it might be a medical issue.. but apparently if you are against stem cell research you are in someway obligated to be against same sex marriage and not taxing hella rich people and youre anti abortion and pro torture.. funny how this works..

NOPE!!! You can be FOR adult stem cell research but AGAINST embryonic stem cell research.

You can also keep marriage defined as a union between a man and a woman.

You can also let people (regardless of income) keep THEIR OWN MONEY, instead of letting the government sodomize them, to "give to the poor".

And, you can be all about sparing innocent babies in the wombs, while getting medieval on a bunch of guys (whose first names, middle names, last names, or some combination thereof, are Muhammad) that just tried to blow you to bits.

no. i said Americans seem to all fall on the same side of all issues according to what party they affiliate themselves with.. even if those issues have nothing to do with politics or each other..

Because at its core some of these issues should switch sides due to idology.. if Dems want to controll peoples lives they should be the ones banning same sex marriage and the authors of the patriot act and against abortions.. and repubs are supposed to hate government intervention should be for the right to marry a racoon and for a womans right to her body decisions.. i just find it interesting. The only group to not fall in step with party politics on everything are blacks in california who are supposed to be liberal yet voted against gay marriage. just something interesting. Chris Rock said it best "no one is all one thing.  Some things im liberal about and some things im conservative about... Guns im Conservative, prostitution, im liberal.." sadly thats not the case in America,.

As long as Christians or any religion for that matter, rail against and try to stop our technology from progressing forward, they deserve none of the breakthroughs.

After all these years, people like Blacken are still using the stupid trick of confusing ADULT stem cell research with embryonic stem cell research, the one form of stem-cell research which most Christians oppose (and hasn't cured JACK).

The rest, contrary to the foolishness spouted here, are FULLY SUPPORTED BY Christians.

This "breakthrough" came from adult stem cell research, and Christians approve of adult stem cell research. Also, while in Office, President Bush approved 250 million federal dollars towards adult stem cell research.

On the heels of World AIDS Day comes a stunning medical breakthrough: Doctors believe an HIV-positive man who underwent a stem cell transplant has been cured as a result of the procedure.

Timothy Ray Brown, also known as the "Berlin Patient," received the transplant in 2007 as part of a lengthy treatment course for leukemia. His doctors recently published a report in the journal Blood affirming that the results of extensive testing "strongly suggest that cure of HIV infection has been achieved."

While Brown is the first person to ever be declared cured of HIV, his case paves a path for constructing a cure for HIV through genetically-engineered stem cells.

Last week, Time named another AIDS-related discovery to its list of the Top 10 Medical Breakthroughs of 2010. Recent studies show that healthy individuals who take antiretrovirals, medicine commonly prescribed for treating HIV, can reduce their risk of contracting the disease by up to 73 percent.

Medicine in America is dictated by the lucrative pharmaceutical industry who are uninterested in cures. Cures reduce revenue.
