I was just saying that it's the only murder that has happened in that cities bars. Of course, it was some gang member from the greater Toronto area who was visiting that small town for the night. The football player was just protecting his girl and yea, dumb but typical move for a university student to throw ice in a busy bar. But who would have thought it warranted getting someone stabbed? From what I remember, the thug ran over to her bitching her out and they boyfriend may have apologized for her, i'm not sure. I'm sure he probably told the thug to fuk off and wound up with a knife in his neck.
I saw the altercation but didn't realize someone got stabbed. I just thought someone got Ko'd with a punch. Then i started seeing people running away with blood on them and girls throwing up.

Coincidently, women throwing drinks or ice in bars is a reg occurance, and many don't think shit will happen to them, especially if they are dating the qb...point in case, my brother was telling me of a situation at a well known DC club, a chick throws a drink and it hits his friend, a big Nigerian dude, she was trying to start a fight, he confronts her, and he is about to beat her ass, but he was pulled away...

But, back to that situation. Basically, dude is dead because his girl threw a drink, hitting the wrong person. Dude shuod have bitched out his girl hard (jacking her shit up, indicating to the othe party he severely disapproved of her actions) and apologized to the dude... It's like starting a fight and hitting a mafiaoso---chances are shit is gonna happen. Sad that the kid was killed, but no thrown drink, no fight, and he would have still been alive.

I never said he was in the right... Correct dude didn't need to go there, and more than likely alcohol was involved in all their actions...but, for every action there is a reaction. Dumb bitch throwing a drink, hitting wrong person, dude confronts girl, qb boyfriend steps in, boyfriend gets stabbed...did he deserve to get stabbed? No, he did not. Just drink was thrown on the WRONG type of dude...sad situation.

That thug turned himself into the police the next day. He's serving a life sentence, of course. He probably would have stabbed someone sooner or later regardless of that night. That dude was on edge and surely had the mentality "if anyone steps to me, I'm going to kill them."

The worst situation I've ever seen in that small town was a guy shooting his ex girlfriend with a shotgun.
One morning, he sat in his truck waiting for her to be dropped off at the mall she works at. It was around 9am and the girl pulled up with her dad and got out. The ex boyfriend then got out of his truck and ran towards her near the front doors of Zellers. She saw him with the gun and tried to get away, screaming as she ran. He shot her in the back and I believe in the head after she was down. A witness to the crime had taken his own shoe off to throw at the gunmen while he was chasing her. Obviously it did no good. The deranged ex boyfriend stood over her dead body and turned the gun on himself, shooting himself in the head. These were actually white people.
I didn't actually see it but worked at another mall 5 minutes away. The poor girl was in her early 20s.

Then you should know that being from the "inner city" is no excuse to act like a little prick and commit crimes.

That's the problem C, they have no conscience because their ideas of right and wrong have been warped due to a broken family and Mom's who were'nt there (Not saying all broken families have bad kids, just a high percentile).  People can live in the ghetto and still have parents and turn out brilliant and humble.  Its the one's that have been beaten down like dogs that steal and cheat.  And you should know also, "doing the right thing" is not a priority in the ghetto.  You should also know in the ghetto it's not "us against them, it's you against them", this is why kids join gangs.  It's the only family that will be there for them.   Again, I will reiterate, what those girls did was wrong, my only beef is this sort of garbage happens everyday and doesn't get reported.  

My best friend who was a Deacon left and went to LA to be a police officer.  Within the two years he had changed into someone I could not recognize.  He was very judgemental and became a full blown racist.  He, like all those kids in the inner city, became a product of their environmnet.  In both instances they are fighting for survival and are doing what they believe is the "right thing".

You're shifting the responsibility to her and it's not her fault in the least. If the kid didn't kill the other kid he'd still be alive.
