Well, compound exercises ARE KING, and there's no doubt about dat! But I just think that some kind of curl is necessary for full and complete biceps development, but maybe I'm just hoping that's true, seeing that ma bis are my worst upper body part lol

you can either contract a muscle or not there is no such thing as complete or incomplete bi development.

been a long, long time since u posted update pics of ur weightoss fatpanda. i am guessing u lost loads now as ur deadline for the finishing and owning of disturbia is February.

you are mistaken - feb was the agreed apon date for a competition that was cancelled.

once the competition was cancelled so was the date.

i will give you a deadline date though if you like.

Not exactly man, but I will give you the answer: palm fully supinated, elbow flexed as much as possible, and upper arm raised to the ear. And that covers the 3 major actions of the biceps: supination, elbow flexion, and shoulder flexion ;D So, the biceps do indeed contract when one perform a row or a pulldown, but usually only one of the biceps actions are called into play during those movements (elbow flexion)

Pure shoulder flexion would be any kind of front raise, so how does a pulldown or row accomplish this movement?

sorry dj - you are correct.

i was focussed on the posterior and anterior delts actions rather than the shoulder movement as a whole.

despite what jones said - i still say the pull up works the bicep as a whole, as you cannot specifically tell the body to only contract certain parts i.e. bicep or brachialis.

I'll be honest here fellas, I know that I talk alot of smack and that I may come across as a know it all at times, but the fact is that many of my ideas/theories aren't certain, especially with regards to getting bigger and stronger muscles. BUT, there is ONE THING that I think that I truly am an expert on, and that is getting RIPPED 8) I've done it many times, and very quickly at that, so I think that this qualifies me as a GETTING RIPPED EXPERT ;D
