Ashton Kutcher: 'the end of days'

Ashton Kutcher: I work out in preparation for 'the end of days'

No one can say Ashton Kutcher doesn’t think ahead.

The actor is on the cover of Men’s Fitness this month, where he opens up to the magazine about the “end of days.”

"It won't take very much, I'm telling you. It will not take much for people to hit the panic button. The amount of convenience that people rely on based on electricity alone,” the actor was quoted as saying.

“You start taking out electricity and satellites, and people are going to lose their noodle. People don't have maps anymore. People use their iPhones or GPS systems, so if there's no electricity, nobody has maps."

Kutcher believes it will be mass hysteria if electricity fails.

“People are going to go, 'That land's not yours, prove that it's yours,' and the only thing you have to prove it's yours is on an electric file.

“Then it's like, 'What's the value of currency, and whose food is whose?' People's alarm systems at their homes will no longer work. Neither will our heating, our garbage disposals, hot-water heaters that run on gas but depend on electricity - what happens when all our modern conveniences fail? I'm going to be ready to take myself and my family to a safe place where they don't have to worry."

Kutcher took to his Twitter page to say that his words were taken out of context. He said, “they are my words for sure. I was trying to give some kind of response to the question what motivates you to work out.”

To that end, he told the magazine he runs in the canyons near his home, as well as daily bikram yoga sessions and Israeli martial art Krav Maga.

"All of my physical fitness regimen is completely tailored around the end of days,” he said. “I stay fit for no other reason than to save the people I care about."

Hahahahahaha

Hes right about the concept though imo, If electricity goes out. Shit is gonna go down. hell just look at new orleans after katrina when everyone started robbing stores and shit. People will turn into "real" animals FAST.

And when shit goes down, you dont wanna be 500 pound and not being able to walk son!

True, but his 'end of days' seems to mean 'the end of the world' in 2012, not 'just' a natural disaster.
More details on his view.

as I edited "if "being ready for when shit goes down" is your motivation to train and take care of yourself/family. then Good =)"

happy new year!

Imagine this,

If the ground below you was falling a part, and all that was left was a rope hanging down, and all you had to do was climb on it to another "floor" and you would escape certian death. Most people would DIE.

I can climb it. can you!

or you're standing on your house and the world next to you is burning and its closing in, and along comes a chopper and releases this ladder to you

most people would DIE. I wouldnt would you? most americans would. due to obesity. Most poeples fat ass wouldbe be able to even just hold on.

No, nuclear war is survivable but not near as much fun as it sounds.

It will happen .. it's not going to be pretty and unless people want to open their minds to this and make some preparations to ensure you can take some control of your own and protect it .. then who do you expect will help you come time it all starts to happen ?

I can climb it, but if things start to get a bit rough, you could find yourself in a situation where you had no food for a week, and/or not much to drink for the last few days. Maybe you are wounded, or maybe your left hand is wounded or whatever, or maybe you're starting to get feeling sick, due to a worsening physical condition. Anyway, picture a scenario where the going gets tough, much different than the situation you find yourself right now. How much can you push yourself mentally and physically to climb that rope?
