A homeless Ohio man was offered a job Wednesday with the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers after a YouTube video was posted showing him demonstrating his made-for-radio voice, The Sporting News reported.

The video of Ted Williams was shot by a Columbus Dispatch reporter who had seen Williams on the side of the road using his voice to collect money from passersby.

The video was viewed more than 4 million times in a 24-hour period after it was posted Tuesday.

The offer to Williams was made Wednesday on Cleveland radio station WNCI 97.9 FM by a woman claiming to represent the Cavs and Quicken Loans Arena.

CNBC's Darren Rovell tweeted that the offer was genuine, and also said that NFL Films was interested in hiring Williams.

The Cavaliers' offer includes voiceover work on radio and television, and on a new website.

In the video, Williams said he was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and went to school at one point with an eye toward getting into radio. He said he became involved with drugs and alcohol, but has been sober for the past two years.

"Hopefully somebody from one of these television or radio stations says, 'Hey, I need a voiceover or hey I need something," Williams said.

seriously tho.. i think getbig should get behind this guy... we all think we're pretty awesome for some reason and 95% of us love the drugs (if you count roids, booze, weed, etc.). if someone can his support page or petition i'll be the first to sign that mofo.
