I went thru a stage in the military where I had them at least 4 or 5 times a week...at the time I was working a rotating schedule and you were often sleeping at odd hours and with a lot of sunlight.  I've read where sleeping with the lights on, or well lit rooms aids in this, but I don't know if that was the reason.  It was very cool.  I have them on occasion now.

I get that too, but....I dream I'm in a Men's room and I have to piss real bad...but the floor is covered in a river of urine and all the toilets are piled up with shit, and it's spilling out into the floor.  I see one toilet that doesn't have the bucket of shit in it, but I have to wade through the river of piss..then I look down and notice I'm not wearing any shoes...then, I wake up. I'm not making this up...Any of you "Dream Freaks" know what this means?

I was lucid,  I had to hide it, so cops wouldn't get it, it's good practice.

back when i ws in my early teens almost all my dreams were lucid...not that i tried for them to be that way...they just were...i even used to tell myself in my dream to not be afraid and that it ws just a dream!  :)...i used to enjoy dreaming back then....it ws like a movie you could control

i pretty much had 2 dreams...or they'd almost ALWAYS start one of 2 ways...and then i'd know i ws dreaming...so then i'd start with the same premise every time and then take it from there...

at age 34...that doesn't happen often now...it happens usually when i'm closing in on a test...or something that has me running in overdrive...

my friend/study partner although tells me that he dreams lucid ALL the time(and quite enjoys dreams)..and he is 28...but being an honours engineering student...he is way  smarter tham i am

Jared Loughner and "Inception": Accused Killer's Lucid Dreaming Obsession

Jared Loughner is being held as the sole suspect in the shooting of U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords (on 1/8/2011). The public is struggling to figure out what was going on in side of Loughner's head when he
shot Giffords and 17 others. Today we learned that he has an interest that should be familiar to anyone who has seen the movie "Inception."

The 2010 film Inception, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, tells the story of a group of corporate spies who infiltrate business people's dreams in order to extract secrets. One scene shows a room full of people who have taken drugs so that they can dream. The main characters are told that, for these people, their dreams have become more real than the real world. [Source: Inception_(film) - Wikipedia. Downloaded 1/9/2011 from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inception_(film).]

The practice of being conscious within one's own dreams (and consequently being able to control events in the dream world) is real, and is called "lucid dreaming." Stephen LaBerge and other scientists have studied the phenomenon extensively. There is also a large body of self-help books that teach people how to induce lucid dreams. Consequently, it is possible for people to create a dream world that they can occupy night after night. [Source: Lucid Dreaming - Wikipedia. Downloaded 1/9/2011 from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_Dreaming.]

It appears that Arizona shooter Jared Loughner is an example of a person who became so caught up in his lucid dreaming world that he lost touch with reality. He reportedly became obsessed with lucid dreaming, keeping records of his dream-world experiences, and told friends that "the world we see does not exist, that words have no meaning - and that the only way to derive meaning was during sleep."
