The people in Metro Atlanta who are a bit more affluent vote Dem and the people in bumblefuck Ga who aren’t the brightest bulbs in the pack voted republican.

Other than Reagan, both Bush and Clinton are two of the better Presidents we have had since JFK. Certainly far better than the current occupant of the White House.  In a society of 300 million people, you are going to get some people who dont have health insurance. Stop being a utopian. If we didnt have Obamacare we would not have to cut medicare for today's seniors. Although we would have to lessen it for tomorow's seniors. Dont touch medicare for today's seniors, but tell tomorows seniors that all they will get is an annual health tax credit. THe forced bargaining will drive down health care costs.

I find your statements about ALaska to be very bigoted. I believe Obama and the other Democrats said the same thing. That is a great way to keep Alaska red for many years to come. Let's assume you're right about Alaska. It doesnt matter. Obama's job performance is THAT bad. I havent seen Alaska's statistics, but I havent seen anything to indicate that it is in the kind of craphole that Illinois or Californua or Michigan are in. She musst have done a decent job.

One can be very bright yet very foolish. I dont know where the hypocrasy is. Personally I think rural whites, a lot of which happen to be farmers, are far more well versed in economics and the dealings of the real world. Producing crops and having to worry about prices that they can get for those crops, and as a result having to deal with specualators makes them fare more exposed to the world than a lot of urban people.
