I agree with him that 99.9% of media stories and "expert" advise on food and health are complete rubbish.
Even real experts change their opinions quite often when new studies come out.

No...not reguardless of diet. Even though genetics help, you could add to your years with a proper eating, keeping your weight down, etc, especially if you have family back ground of a reletively short life. Get a phyisical once a year!

The key in my mind is not that Lalanne lived to 96.  But that he was still very healthy and strong at 96.

(and yes, eventually something goes wrong and you're going to die sooner or later......)
