I suppose 2600sf is a "castle" to some of the euros living in 200sf apartments with a bed and ironing board that folds out of the wall.....cute little mini-fridge and walking down 3 flights of stairs to do laundry.....

HAHAHAHA Oh, son... Bragging about houses in US... hahah   ::)

This is how it's done in Russia.. This is just some random private mansion being built for some unknown Russian.. NO ONE in America has anything comparable to this - no one  8)

You're right, only 6 out of the top 10 most expensive homes in the world reside in the US, NO ONE can compare to that Russian pig pen  ::)

This house is not owned by a Getbigger or a Pro Bodybuilder so it is disqualified from this thread.. I hope this helps.

I think most of those huge castles in Russia are never for sale and not even estimated how much they're worth..
Most of them are probably even not known about by general public - I remember that particular house in pics I posted, was leaked to public by some construction workers - otherwise 'nobody' would know anything about it...

So I wouldn't be amazed if Russian houses are not well represented on Forbes  ;)

I'll handle this for TA. That is nothing more than a dilapidated hovel for some tasteless Slavic parvenu who probably is sucking Putin's dick, as we speak, to stay in favour.

This one is built for the one and only - mr. Vladimir Putin.
Five years in the making and over 1 billion invested and marked as a recreational complex with an exclusive winery.Enjoy the pics:

everything is cheap in the usa:  housing, petrol, food ..

if you guys paid what we (australia) do for petrol, there would be riots in the streets.

but then again, you have to live in the USA, so there is always a down side   ;D

what kinda car is that? looks like an aston martin but that shit is expensive even in americat?
It is a Aston Martin, a DB9 I believe. It's blacked out, so you can't see the details. DB9s have been out for a while---around 2003, 2004, and depreciate heavily, so he could have picked one up for "cheap".

I think that Europeans and many other countries outside of the U.S have raised their children to make savings and investments a part of life.

In other words, every time they go to the bank, a portion of their earnings go into a savings account.

It is not that difficult to do, yet most people in teh U.S don't do it.

Isn't buying a home considered as a long-term investment?

Isn't using your mortgage interest deduction a way to save on paying taxes?

I wouldn't be too impressed by 30-somethings in Europe, stashing away a few euros every month because they can't afford a down payment on a house, so they live with their mom and dad until they're 40. Even when they move out it is into a 400 sf "apartment" where most of the amenities are shared.

Fuck them....5 car garages exist in america because we want them and we can have them. And that's all the answer that's needed.

 ;D   ;D   ;D

Due to the economy, people are unloading used exotics like a dude ODing on Exlax. Plus, the fact of the depreciation, if you look, you can pick one up for far less than half of it's original price. Top it off, many get rid of the cars before the first big maintenance is scheduled, or after getting several.

I remember reading a article back in 2009 about exotics in the UK being sold for CHEAP, due to the economy...and one of the main reasons why, is because they are exotics---nobody needs them...and they don't keep their price, unless it's a very rare one.

It's kinda like how you can pick up a 2007 7 series for 30k now...so people think you are balling, but you really aren't.

Actually looks like a Vantage, which is even cheaper.

200K buys you A LOT here in Dallas. One of the cheapest living places in the nation and job security to boot. I live in Plano/north dallas, which is voted "best places to live in the U.S," numerous times.
