Apparantly i decline bench 400+ pounds for reps
« on: March 08, 2011, 02:14:31 PM »
yesterday morning i had strapped on two 40 pound dumbells=80 pounds

i weighed my self with clothes on and i was 293

so i got a set of 5 good range dips on the bannister outside

i was very pleased, then i continued on with my masonic teachings in order for a more perfect existance . Masonry is a religion seeking to unite God and man by elevating its initiates to that level of consciousness whereon they can behold with clarified vision the workings of the Great Architect of the Universe. From age to age the vision of a perfect civilization is preserved as the ideal for mankind. In the midst of that civilization shall stand a mighty university wherein both the sacred and secular sciences concerning the mysteries of life will be freely taught to all who will assume the philosophic life. Here creed and dogma will have no place; the superficial will be removed and only the essential be preserved. The world will be ruled by its most illumined minds, and each will occupy the position for which he is most admirably fitted.

doesnt work like that dumb ass.

i used to dip- elbows out- with 50lb for 3 sets of 10-14. yet my bench/decline bench wasnt anywhere near my bweight + 50lb.

oh and yes, declines are a waste of time.. they are a "designer" exercise. for tools and snags who see the equipment so therefore think it must be good. decline benches should be removed from gyms.

How long have you been at this weight? I give it 2-3 months before you develop some cardiac issues.

The extra weight isnt worth your health. Trust me.  :-X

Philosophy bestows life in that it reveals the dignity and purpose of living. Materiality bestows death in that it benumbs or clouds those faculties of the human soul which should be responsive to the enlivening impulses of creative thought and ennobling virtue. How inferior to these standards of remote days are the laws by which men live in the twentieth century

Depends on the angle of decline.  Decline benches in most gyms are at a ridiculously steep angle.  If you use a very slight decline, it will take some stress off the shoulder joints.

He who has a little more rationality than his neighbor is a little better than his neighbor. He who functions on a higher plane of rationality than the rest of the world is termed the greatest thinker. He who functions on a lower plane is regarded as a barbarian. Thus comparative rational development is the true gauge of the individual's evolutionary status.

In a completely "irrational" world, how does thinking rationally really help one?
