I know 2 Carty brothers who work at the phone company (Telem/Smitcoms), 1 moved to Holland to be with his son as he was retired anyway, the other one still works there (I think he's a Jehova's witness) and they have a sister who now lives behind where Food Center on the Bushroad used to be in their fathers home. Is that the Carty family you know?

HA! Yes, everything was rusty! But it did the job for 2 weeks and no one looked at me crosseyed for deadlifting. The resort gyms are a joke at best. We love it there. There is an old abandoned bar/restaurant at Dawn Beach. Do you know anything about it?

I know Fenna Arnell. Family of yours?
I know a few Carty's as well, but that is a huge family.

best island I have been to.....numerous beaches, nude/topless...and the one official nude beach Orient bay. By the way any beach can be used as a nude beach if you go to the end part....food/shopping/drinks....safe island to.

You should have come to Royal Palm Gym before the bridge, resort gym but good and no one looks bad at you there for deadlifting either. Lots of guys left Marcy to come to Royal Palm just because of her attitude.
Next time you're heading this direction shoot me a pm and we will work out in Royal Palm just once, just to see if you like it there as well.

The bar/restaurant you're reffering to is Scavengers Bar? Or Ms B's?

Safe? When is the last time you were here? If you look like a tourist you better don't walk alone at night. 2 weeks ago, 4 murders in 1 week!! 1 was a chef cook on 1 of the mega yachts. He was walking alone at night and was found dead on the beach with face busted up and numerous stabbing wounds.

great place but really do your homework when it comes to hotels and resorts, many pics you see online even of 4star hotels there are BS.

Yes, I was there as well. Its a nice island but its not pleasant when your tanning on a lawnchair on the beach and a 747 comes barrling over you litterally! I woke up thinking armageddon was upon us FFS with the racket of the jet. The airport is litterally right on the beach.

Will do! We go for two weeks (52,1) every year. Sounds like a better gym. Not sure what the name of the bar is, when I was there this year the place was boarded up every day and looked to be deserted. I just thought it might make a great buy!

A main road runs the etire outline of the island so you can see everything in just a couple hours. Was a little pricier than other islands, and it seems to be geared mostly towards cruise ships. I prefer the Dominican - cheaper, better beaches.

Good post and I have been thre before and like St John USVI. Best beaches for clear, blue water.

Looks great, but going to the Olympia, hanging out at the expo and getting free samples of Aplodan, doing a thumbs-up while posing for pics with pros and watching Branch onstage slap his thighs to get the crowd revved up must all be a lot more electrifying than watching a 747 almost land on your head.

1992 was good yes, walk on Backstreet now at 1am and tell me it's still safe there IF you can still talk. Last year my former boss got beaten up by a group with baseball bats in an ally between frontstreet and backstreet fracturing his eye socket and both arms.

lol....I think I'd prefer the thrill of a 470,000 lbs 747 landing within 100 feet from my head
