33, you voted Mittens last time - would you vote Rpaul this time? He ended up being absolutely right on everything about both the dems and the repubs.
Paul: Decision to run will depend on dollar
Many potential presidential candidates are looking to poll data to determine whether to launch a campaign for the 2012 Republican nomination.
Ron Paul? He’s watching the dollar.
“I’m undecided, that’s the truth,” the Texas congressman said today of his presidential aspirations. “But I have said in the past, that if there’s a major economic crisis worse than what we have now … I’d feel almost obligated since I’ve spent my lifetime warning about a dollar crisis.”
Paul, who was in Des Moines to speak at a Network of Iowa Christian Home Educators event, said rising prices are just one indicator that more economic woes could be ahead for the nation.
During two public addresses to the group, the lawmaker emphasized the importance of civil liberties and called the current financial crisis a symptom of big government.
“There’s a revolution going on in this country,” he told hundreds who gathered on the capitol steps just before 1 p.m. to hear his first speech of the day. “The problem is, it hasn’t quite reached Washington yet.”
Paul also met with Gov. Terry Branstad and state GOP leaders during his time in Des Moines. The legislator will return to Iowa April 11 for an appearance in Sioux Center.
