So there was this MegaCon convention going on in Orlando, FL. that I attended and one of the so-called stars who was making an appearance was none other than Lou "The Incredible Jerk" Ferrigno. I can NOT stand the man and DON'T care for him, but I was standing in line (there was only 2 people in front of me and no one behind) so I can simply ask him if he knew anything about Pumping Iron being re-released with additional footage aside from the 25th anniversary DVD.
Anyway, the lady in front of me was next and so she had asked Lou if he would take a picture with her son and pointed to him who happened to be a kid in a wheelchair and with warp speed Lou said, "No." and shook his head. Now, normally this wouldn't surprise me 'cause I know what kinda person he is, but for him to be so cold without giving it a second thought made me a bit surprised.
Don't worry, Lou! YOU'LL GET YOURS!
1.Hates Lou
2.Standing in line to ask a question of a guy he hates that could likely be researched on the internet
3.Just happens to be there when Lou denies taking a photo with a kid. Add to the picture to be more dramatic, a kid in a wheel chair.
4. Outraged by the diss, he still asks the mundane question
5. Inspite of obviously painting a story in which he comes off at best as a kiss ass who asks a question just to be talking to a "celebrity" he makes a poor attempt at a save by ignoring Lou's attempt to sell a picture.
All in all...could this have happened? Sure, there was nothing supernatural about the story that would require us to suspend logic.. but did it likely happen? No.
Just my personal opinion based on hearing BS stories for over 20 yrs.
