Again - you are economically illiterate, and that is being nice.   In a global economy - corporations can go wherever they receive most favorable treatment.   If you want to play the class warfare game, they will all leave and will result in less employment.

Additionally, jacking up their taxes will nly result in higher prices to consumers.   We have enough inflation already.  The issue is that the govt is too big, too costly, and have too many people on the dole.

We have a spending problem, not a tax problem.

Guess what they already left. They are moving production overseas and arent paying any taxes.
This is not class warfare you, me and everyone pays taxes but they get a refund.

Two points - The US offers far too many tax credits to families and the middle class.  That is who doesn't pay taxes.  Middle class families earning under 60k with 2-3 kids.  This has been in place for decades and will probably continue.

Second point - there is actually nothing that definitively proves lowering corporate taxes will actually increase jobs.  As 333 said they look for the best market where they can save money, no spend it.  Lowering it isn't going to make GE pay, they'll find a way around it and pay as little or nothing as possible.  Jobs won't magically come back just because profits increase due to a tax break.  Revenue doesn't automatically equal jobs, unless that revenue comes from growth within a market not a tax break.  What incentive is there to even think about creating another job without demand for their product?  A corporate tax cut in a lot of cases is nothing more than a chance for a larger shareholder dividend or buyback and bonuses for boosting 'revenue'.
Lowering taxes?  They dont pay taxes for gods sake

I don't where to begin.   :-\  Some American families are suffering.  Not all.

All Americans do not pay income taxes.

The "wealthy" pay most of the income taxes in the U.S.

This comic did a little montage about one corporation.  Yes, saying the fact one American company didn't pay taxes somehow contributed to our recession/economic problems is simplistic and an overstatement.

Its the biggest corp in the US with the highest income and they dont pay ANY taxes.
Not only are they cheating the US they also move jobs overseas thereby making americans unemployed.

Jeffrey Immelt, the jobs czar from hell
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 4/5/11 | Debra J. Saunders

The New York Times reported last month that General Electric earned $14.2 billion in international profits, including, $5.1 billion in the United States. Yet GE did not pay a dime in federal income taxes last year. Oddly, President Obama chose GE Chairman and Chief Executive Jeffrey Immelt to head his President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.

According to the Associated Press, Immelt's compensation package doubled to $15.2 million last year, while this year GE is seeking major concessions from the unions that represent its shrinking American workforce. That makes Immelt the wrong guy for the job of jobs czar.

Or as former Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold wrote, "Someone like Immelt, who has helped his company evade taxes on its huge profits - and is now looking to workers to take major pay cuts after his compensation was doubled - should not lead the administration's effort to create jobs."

No lie.

After all, what kind of economic advice can Immelt give?

Probably advice like this:

Don't push for lower corporate tax rates. Reformers want Washington to lower the U.S. corporate tax rate of 35 percent, so that America can compete with low-tax countries like Ireland and Singapore, where GE offshored significant profits. Immelt says corporate tax reform "deserves a healthy debate," but he knows the big money is in loopholes.

Hire an army of tax lawyers. GE's tax department has 975 employees - and make no mistake, they contribute to the economy.

Never stint on lobbyists. In the past decade, GE spent more than $200 million on lobbyists, many of them tax-law specialists. Remember, the best way to play by the rules is to ghostwrite them.

They're not cheating anyone.  And they're not "making Americans unemployed."  No private company has an obligation to create jobs in the U.S.  They should, but they don't have to.

this is a common misconception in which news sources use to prey on the uninformed in order to "feed the machine".

Just because you open a corporate tax return and the liability at the end reads $0 does not mean they paid no taxes.

They pay quarterly estimated taxes based upon their quarterly tax projections.  If they are underpaid at the end of the year after closing their books,  They owe more.  if they are overpaid at the end of the year, they get a refund or credit the overpayment to the next year.

Are they cheating?  Simply no.  They are working within the laws of the IRC.  If they do not take advantage of the tax laws they are cheating the investors out of their hard earned money.

Also, how does taxing a corporation more help anything?  Those costs are simply passed down to you the consumer when you buy their products.

read this.  It's written by adults who actually take their time and make sure they have all the facts before they go off on a rant that makes them look silly and unprepared.

of course they are taxed like us.  They pay a corporate level tax.  I don't get what you mean.  Again, those articles that you read are one of two things.  Either the author is ignorant of how our tax system works or he wrote the article to intentionally mislead the reader.  Whether the author wants you to know it or not, we do have a progressive tax system in this country.  And the top 1% do hold most of the wealth........... They also pay most of the tax bill.  That's a fact that is often overlooked.
