Yes...and we still have to come to work. Fuck Barry..fuck him. It won't matter if they pass something next week...as long as its by the 15th then we'll be fine. If it takes longer we'll get our backpay on the 1st......allegedly.

The last one lasted 5 days. They shut down again before christmas. We got paid that time. They're trying to pass a bill to ensure that we get paid regardless. We'll get our back pay. I just hope as soon as they go back to work they launch our cash.

ah, i see - you get back pay, as you're listed as essential.

During a shutdown, federal workers whose responsibilities are deemed “non-essential” will put on furlough and may not receive pay when they return. All government workers will go without paychecks for the length of the shutdown.

If I don't get paid on the 15th and some worthless Department of Education slob gets a paid vacation I am going to flip out. They wouldn't halt military pay, that would be political suicide for Obama.

like he said, military is essential - halted but paid back retroactively.

non-essentials won't get paid back, it's possible.

and obama wasn't the one PROMISING to shut down the govt. that was the tea party goofballs. It's on video!
