one razer blade usually last me about 6 months with no cuts... does loose its "SMOOTHNESS" after a month but they still cut fine and don't make my face look like freddy

Dude.....they last forever and shaving with them is a joke, they just "glide' over your face and the hair is gone.

I normally go through blades once every 8 or 9 shaves with Gillette fusion blades, these blades last like 12 or 13 shaves

After shaving, dry the blades off with a Qtip or hair drier and don't keep them in the bathroom(steam). By doing this, you will be able to use one blade for over 6 months ;). The blades don't get dull. What happens is steam/water corrodes the blades(rust etc). Companies that make razor blades have a huge scam going on.

qft ... you can even have a cup of rubbing alcohol and keep the blade in it that will prevent it from the water rusting dulling

Blades might last a week with me, less if my girl uses them on her cooch.

I just buy mine off Ebay at a significant discount - I haven't paid for a Gillette razorblade from the supermarket in years.

Same here. I use these on my head and face. Been using them since the day the first ones came out. Awesome.

Razor blades are always one of the most expensive things in drug stores, I think the 6 bladed 'technology' is getting ridiculous, no need for more then 3

I don't know how you young ladies can shave with those half ass things.  For me, it's a straight edge razor, a mugfull of lather, and two slaps of Old Spice.  And I get more tail than Sinatra.

One of my country uncle told me yrs ago, that if you look at the women's blades vs men's, that the women's are cheaper---I don't know what it is now...He said, just get the women's blades. You save more money and they do the same thing. And he advocated just what dude had said about the steam...you can make one blade last 6 months...and believe me, as black man who has very curly hair---one has to shave everyday (when I do keep a clean shaven face), keeping a blade for 6 mos is very ecomonical.

Also, use coupons, and if the store has a card that you can use, that you can get the specials on.

this is one of the reasons why I switched to safety razors. Double-edged blades give a closer shave and cost about 50 cents each

Bic Disposable Razor. Single blade. NO bullshit.

1 razor lasts over 2 months.

Shave everyday while IN THE SHOWER. No cream or gel... just water.

If you have those kinds of problems, you may want to consider using a better prep.
While it's a few extra steps, it’s hard to beat the mug & cup system like seen above.

I use the shaving soap that comes in puck form.
Our Beauty/Barber supply place sells a mug with a recessed bottom that is a perfect fit for the soap.
The mug is also made of a vinyl or resin so it won’t break when you drop it.

I have a badger hair brush for lathering.
Boar’s hair is the best, but a lot more expensive.

Anyway, the hot lather and bristles soften, exfoliate, and stand those bristles away from the skin.
If you really want to get traditional, apply a towel soaked in hot water to your beard for a few minutes before shaving.
It can be a pain in the ass to do all this stuff - especially if it's new to you, but it does provide a much more comfortable shave with a lot less irritation, regardless of the blade you use.
