They are trying.  Wish the Yankees would have went all out to win last night, instead of playing the AAAA lineup most of the game.  Sox have been horrid, but are built for short series and are still dangerous.

This is pretty crazy.  St Louis missed a golden opportunity last night and could have been tied as well.

Both wildcard races tied on the last day.  Yankees still don't know first round opponent.

Sox are facing a crappy pitcher who they should destroy, but have extended their bullpen, and have Lester on short rest.  They still should win the game.

Yanks are going to throw out an AAA lineup, I would expect, and still haven't named a starter.

Both Stl and Atlanta have their good pitchers, but Atlanta is facing Hamels in Philly.

And, of course, ESPN's front page is a pic of the SOX, who remained tied, but they were invisible yesterday when they lost.   It's becoming comical at this point.

Garebear - get in here and start talking shit to funk51.

Also, funk51, your thread in the G&O is fucking fantastic.  The first time I saw a random picture of Tim Lincecum, I laughed out loud at the office.

Possibly a new GM too.

Beer in the clubhouse, Youkilis' attitude, blaming the schedule and injuries (Gonzalzez), blaming the fans for cheering too loud (Scutaro).....this is all incredible.

Beer in the clubhouse was a pitcher...I'm guessing Lackey.

Yankees and Phillies both about to be tested.  If both were to be eliminated, MLB will lose a ton of money.

LOL...I love it when Philly fans are disappointed.  All of that winning in the regular season is all for nothing.  Losers plain and simple.

Go Cards!!!!!!

Baseball is throwing everyone for a loop - all the "powerhouse" teams are out of it, and it's wide open right now.

I like it and hate it.

garebear's bold prediction could turn into reality - his team is the one that has the momentum.

None of your stupid little teams matter because the St. Louis Cardinals are going to win the World Series this year anyway.

no playoff games this year.  I was at the 82 WS last game.  Never will forget it.  The tickets for standing room only are $100 and behind the plate is $2000.00.  I will watch on TV for free...lol.
