That is why the Yankees are manipulating payroll with the goal of being under that threshold in 2014.

I always thought it was a possibility when Montero was traded.   Damon/Matsui/Posada all could be a lefty platoon DH.

No DH is worth what Prince Fielder got.   You can't get enough value from a DH to justify that payment.

The Marlins new park...oh man lol

Workers install the new mechanized sculpture in center field that will activate when a Marlin homers at spanking-new Marlins Park.

Every team should be like the Yankess, Tigers, Cards etc...Have two uniforms, a white home and road gray. I know it's all about merchandise sales, but I hate the batting practice jerseys that teams like the Red Sox, Mets, and like two dozen others wear for games.

Agree.  Although if every team did it, it wouldn't be as cool for teams like NY, etc...

Supposedly Curt Schilling owns a software dev. company and they're releasing a new game.

CF on my softball teams works at his company.   They moved to RI when the state gave his studio a huge tax break.  Schilling has breakfast once a month with a random set of employees just to ask how things are going, which is really cool.

If Schilling's personal interests had a major influence on this game, I would expect it to center around an all you can eat buffet.

Never considered it, but it's a good question.  I just looked up some stuff.  Never won a Cy, but I don't put too much stock in that stuff since the writers are knuckleheads and choose poorly so often.

His career is almost identical to Kevin Brown's.

Great durability and some great seasons, but going with no.
