I'm not hating at all - I'm just stating that most people in the gyms i go to train arms far more than they do the big body parts and than wonder why they are not growing etc.  They are worried about what supps to take, etc, whren in reality, most people would grow like a MOFO if they did more of a caveman workout than a machine or cable based workout.

I have been at this for almost 20 years now and seen everything.   I have done track n field events for throwing, bodybuilding events, MMA, etc, and seen so much bullshit over the years.  Im 36 now and stronger than I have ever been.   I focus on basic lifts - squat, bench, military, deads, bent overs, etc, everything else is secondary.

If you really want to explode, if you are a novice or newbie - just focus on basic lifts and forget the cables and machines.  If you are dieting for a show - you do what you have to.

For the long run, basic lifts are what works, and for tris - nothing better than dips or close grip flat bench.

I'll take anyone on at any time at any gym on any lift pfb.  i'm clean as as whistle at 36 210 and will outlift most.  clean my whole life.

If you do your basic exercises right for the big body parts like Chest, Back, Legs, etc, the smaller ones like arms are easy and ancillary.

The weaklings and pussies at my gym who can barely bench 225 do arms all the time and neglect the basics and wonder why their arms dont grow more.

You cant be a bitch at the gym focusing on arms and abs and expect to grow.   I have been at this for years, competed many times, competed in track n field events  in the throws at D1 level, and know the deal.  I have these 20-30 year old fags always like "yo bro - what you takin?"

I'm like - hey idiot - who is here Friday night killing it on bent over rows, squats, bench, militaries, etc?

No easy way to bigger arms.   People need to STFU - put the cell phones away, tell their boys to go away, and just pop on the thrash metal and go nuts on the basics like barbell bench, incline barbell bench, deads, squat, bent over rows, etc.

Otherwise - have fun being Jersey Shore twink who cant bench over 225 or squat over 275.

You sound like a hardcore beast.

I train my arms directly, do "pussy' isolation moves, USE THE CABLES  :o  :o....guess I'm a little bitch, huh ?  ::)

Seriously I think people get carried away with the "just the basics, hard and heavy" bullshit. they wear it like a badge, and everyone else is a "pretty boy" trainer.....PLEASE  ::) ::)

Chances are 333386 is a permabulker who doesn't get the concepts of shaping muscle while dieting.

But you're still a turd.

Thats ok, I have thick skin.   We have had a flood of teens in the gym where i go lately and all they want to do is arms, arms, arms, arms.

Most of these clown never touch the leg press or squat rack.   To make matters worse, these dorks will come up to me and be like "yo bro - I'm going to Vitamin Shoppe tommorow what should I get?"   They are all on the cell phones, loafing around, terrible gym ettiquette, rude, weak as shit, etc.

I tell them to see me at 8pm on Friday at the gym and I will tell them.    No one ever shows up.   The key, for the long run, is basic exercises.  Incline Bench, Squat, Military, Deads, etc.

Once you hit over 30 years old, if you dont have a good foundation  - you are done.  I see this all the time - dudes with a decent upper body - no legs, no cavles or hams, and cant really do much and get injured alot.

Bottom line - for the long haul - basics and caveman workout is what works for size, power, strength, and endurance.

Not at all - I have done shows, and do a ton of other shit beside lifting.   I just see the same ole same ole in the gym I go to with people always pissed off their arms are not bigger who also avoid lifting the basics.

To be honest, you're right about the bs in the gyms.  I too am over 30.  33 on saturday.  I've noticed that the past 5 or so years, everyone under 20 is yapping on a cell.  Also, your note about flip flops or even slippers is true.

High schoolers are only going to work a bodypart to impress others, and that's arms.  That's why they hit them all the time.  16 year old kids don't care about how much you hack squat etc.

You've moved up from turd to dry shit fyi.

Yes...and i agree with that...but once you have the foundation that's when you expand your repertoire to include more specific movements to fine tune the mass into an ill creation

What I meant to say earlier is that many dudes worried about their arms dont get that they need a foundation to build on first and worry about bullshit first and foremost and dont want to put in the time to get there.

i tell a lot of these clowns in the gym - "how good are you going to look with big arms and no back, legs, ass, shoulders, etc?"

I never did roids.   Problem dieting down was always the last week or two getting all the water gone and the last bit of dialing down.   I have plenty of others.

i prefer dumbbels...couple of sets of lying db tricep extentions followed by some close-grip db presses, sometimes incline where you can actually get a longer rom and better stretch...then i also like to have a 1-2 sec peak contraction at the top, somehow i find it very effective especially with triceps...another exercise i also like to use is standing one-arm cable tricep extention with an underhand grip, therefore i can hit that one head of tricep that often is a bit neglected...

I think pushdowns is the best exercise. I hear people swear to close bench presses all the time, but it never ever did the trick for me, and so I never do them. They are probably good though, I think I just have bad genetics to grow in that area, kind of like Coleman and Markus Ruhl.. But they have grown significantly larger the last year, and I owe it all to hevy pushdowns. My 2 cents.

You're right.  Ruhl and Coleman had lousy triceps.

Always had excellent genetics for triceps so I rarely train them as they overpower my biceps as it is. Usually chest training would stimulate them adequately enough. The times I do train them it'll be right after training chest. I'd do 2 sets of pushdowns to failure and 2 sets of dips to failure. That's about it.
