just wondering in all seriousness guys what would you all consider an impressive amount of weight for leg pressing 3 sets of 10 with especially at my age ( mid 40's)?

right now i'm doing about 810 ( 9/9 on each side times 45 pound weights) i guess 850 if you count the leg press machine.

i think if i push it in a few months i could get to 900? 900 plus?

is this just a good amount of weight or impressive amount of weight for my age and of course all natural? just wondering.

going all the way down, not fast and no bouncing either, i don't even do calf raises on the leg press machine, at least not right now.

There are bunch of different leg press machines out there with different leverages so you will be able to use more weight on one versus another.
Bottom line is , it doesnt matter. As long as you are making  progress thats all that important.

leg press is hugely abused, if its not deep and under control, followed by a nice push and squeeze, the weight is too heavy

the thing is, you can actualy do these full range of motion and show off with a few extra plates and look as tho your doing it propperly, but the only place you will feel it is your hips etc, i couldnt care less how much i have on, as long as my quads are smoked afterwards

This.

And, the other reason it's pointless to focus only on total weight used is because some guys (who you compare your weight to) are likely not doing it the way it's meant to be done.
