Last year there was an article I read in the paper about how great communism was and how it allowed many Chinese families to own a colour TV. this is the first time you have asked me this. I have never lived in North Korea. I do know our country likes to portray countries it does not get along with or countries that do not bow down to it as shit holes. Which is usually not the case, just propaganda.

You can bet when the US starts getting into more debt, it will tighten up citizen's movement's, wanting to keep them working and paying taxes to keep the system going. They are not going to want to let a taxpayer out of this country. It will take some time.

For those that like to shit on America and glorify State prisons like North Korea why do you continue to live here? There are many things about this country I don't like and I think it's better days are behind us but as of today, if I thought I could have a better life somewhere else I would move there.

Again I ask if North Korea isn't so bad why are their people not allowed to leave? I have several friends from Korea and though they are able to communicate with their relatives in the North (not an easy task) they are not allowed to see each other.

Anybody catch the video where some North Koreans made a mad rush towards the Chinese embassy where they hoped to get amnesty?

I watched a documentary about that, it occcured in China itself. They filled out all the proper forms and documents applying for refugee status, as soon as they got to the embassy, they were immediately pounced on by the guards and arrested. Then sent back to North Korea and executed.

North Korea and China are really just different shades of the same thing.
Only difference is China has $$$$ and get away with a lot more as a result.
