Reports: Democrat Anthony Weiner Facing Child-Porn Charges

Anthony-Weiner-Sexting-Scandal-images
by Warner Todd Huston

Federal prosecutors are looking to file child porn charges against disgraced Democrat Representative Anthony Weiner for sexting with a teenaged girl, says a new media report.

Weiner, the former Congressman and husband to Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin, is being investigated by the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, after he was arrested last year for having sex-related communications across state lines with a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina.

The girl, who is remaining anonymous due to her age, told police that she and the former congressman carried on a relationship for several months starting early in 2016 via numerous social media services such as Twitter, Facebook, Kik, Confide and Skype. The girl claims that Weiner sent nude photos, shared pornographic videos with her, discussed his “rape fantasies,” and requested that she undress and masturbate during video chats.

Now a report by Fox News says that attorneys for Weiner have been seen making numerous visits to prosecutors as the case continues to be investigated. Insiders report that these numerous visits likely mean that both sides are working to come to some understanding before further charges are announced.

Weiner could face charges of “production of child pornography” for his video chats, a charge that carries a mandatory 15-year minimum prison sentence. But he could also face charges of “receipt of child pornography,” which could bring him five years in prison, or “possession of child pornography,” a charge that carries no mandatory minimum sentence.

Taking the bus?

You think his budget is that tight ATM, or rather that he's a little concerned about being snatched up for some reason.

Comey: Thousands of Clinton Emails, Including Classified Ones, Were Forwarded to Anthony Weiner
Washington Free Bacon ^ | 05/03/2017 | David Rutz
Posted on 5/3/2017, 12:45:03 PM by ForYourChildren

FBI Director James Comey testified Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee that Hillary Clinton emails containing classified information were forwarded to the computer of Anthony Weiner, the former congressman and estranged husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

Comey also strongly defended himself on Capitol Hill for his Oct. 28 letter notifying Congress of newly discovered emails appearing pertinent to Clinton's private server investigation, arguing it would have been "catastrophic" to conceal such a revelation.

He explained that his investigative team informed him in late October of metadata from Weiner's computer showing thousands of Clinton's emails on that device, including what they thought might be the "missing emails" from her first three months at the State Department.

Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011 over a sexting scandal and saw a 2013 mayoral run in New York City go up in flames for similar reasons. The investigation that led to Comey's letter concerned his sexting with an underage girl.

Acknowledging that he did not want to influence the election in any way, Comey told Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) that he could only see two options: Speak or conceal.

"Having repeatedly told this Congress we are done and there's nothing there … To re-start in a hugely significant way, potentially finding the emails that would reflect on her intent from the beginning, and not speak about it would require an act of concealment in my view," he said.

Comey said that speaking out with less than two weeks to go before Election Day would be "really bad," but he called an act of concealment "catastrophic."

"Between really [bad] and catastrophic, I said to my team, we've got to walk into the world of ‘really bad,'" he said. "I've got to tell Congress that we're restarting this."

His team found "thousands" of emails, some containing classified information, that were forwarded to Weiner's computer.

"Somehow, her emails were being forwarded to Anthony Weiner, including classified information," Comey said.

You let the average person with a security clearance do this and they will put that person under the jail.  And this woman has the nerve to blame her loss on Comey?

Dem Senator Calls for Special Prosecutor to Investigate Huma Abedin
IJR.com ^ | 5-4-2017 | DAVID BIXENSPAN

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) appeared on MSNBC's “Morning Joe” on Thursday to discuss the news from Wednesday's James Comey hearing. More specifically, the topic was the FBI director revealing that longtime Hillary Clinton advisor Huma Abedin forwarded classified emails to then-husband Anthony Weiner, ostensibly so he could print them out.

“Do you believe that is a crime?” panelist Willie Geist asked to open the Blumenthal interview. “If there was classified information and it was improperly passed to a person unauthorized to receive it? Yes, it’s a crime,” the senator replied. ”Without knowing what the intentions were and so forth, there is potentially a prosecutable crime."

Anthony Weiner Pleads Guilty to Federal Obscenity Charges
NYT's ^ | 5/19/17 | BENJAMIN WEISER and WILLIAM K. RASHBAUM
Posted on 5/19/2017, 3:56:56 PM by ColdOne

“I engaged in obscene communications with this teenager,” Mr. Weiner said, his voice high and shaky, and his body trembling. Those communications “included sharing explicit images and encouraging her to engage in sexually explicit conduct,” just as he had done with adult women, he said.

Mr. Weiner, 52, will have to register as a sex offender where he works and lives,

SNIP

Federal prosecutors said in the plea agreement that a sentence in the range of 21 to 27 months would be “fair and appropriate.” The decision ultimately lies with Judge Loretta A. Preska of Federal District Court in Manhattan; sentencing is set for Sept. 8.

SNIP

But Mr. Weiner quickly dissolved into tears as he read from a written statement when the judge asked that he describe what he had do.

Registered sex offender.  Hopefully, his two years in prison will help teach him some humility and get his act together.
