actually I think Shawn should have won one or two Olympias as well, but I think he was his own worst enemy and wasn't well liked by the judges...I think people did not like Shawn because they were jealous of his big contract with Weider and because he used to be so vain about himself...

I was at the 2001 Olympia in Vegas and at the athletes press conference, Shawn got into a argument with one of the judges of the show because he felt his physique wasn't getting its due.....she proceeded to tell Shawn that "your physique is the same...it hasn't changed in years"..this led to Shawn saying "see?..I told you that the judges are biased against me! she's already judged me before the show has even started."

that judge was then removed from the panel..Shawn came in fourth in the Olympia but should have been third behind Ronnie and Jay from what I saw....This led Shawn to resent bodybuilding and to retire since he felt he should have been second due to Jay testing positive for diuretics which was banned at the time and he felt that Jay was supposed to be disqualified because of the ban...but Jay threatened to sue and was allowed to keep his second place placing which robbed Shawn of the second place finish and the bigger prize money

I think Shawn Ray looked amazing as well. Definitely underrated and that's saying alot.

I normally don't get into the "uncrowned" routine. But, if there's one Olympia where I believe Ray got robbed, it's 1994. NO WAY, he should have lost to a water-logged, one-armed, wide-wasted Yates.

When I think bodybuilder, I think Shawn Ray. Coleman and the rest are not real bodybuilders ... they have thick waists and bloated preggo bellies and many other imperfections.

S. Ray is without question......one of the top 5 best bbers of all time......you won't find many people that will argue with that statement......These blokes today are just not on par with what bbing is all about.....size, shape, balance and symmetry. Shawn had all those attributes in spades!!! It is a crying shame that man never won an Olympia title......The Sandow should have been his on a few occasions.

not my favorite but one of them. very under rated and forgotten, but one of the best physiques of all time. so complete and perfect and aesthetic.

shawn is overrated

mostly competed once a year so it was easier to peak for the olympia

only won 2 shows

never should've been above 4th place in the 90's
