Decided not to go to all out failure today or max poundage and actually follow a rep scheme
todays session went

incline dumbell presses

warmup 15 reps
110 x 1 reps
130 x 8 reps
145 x 6 reps

flat dumbell presses
 130 x 10
145 x 8
160 x 6
130 x 10 reps
145 x 8 reps

incline smith machine

225 x 10 reps
315 x 8 reps
365 x 6 reps

finished with flyes ending with 100lb dumbells

great workout...

Lifts arent really to impressive. Im usually working my way up too 180s for 10 on incline and 200s for 12 on flat. Also when i switch to the smith incline im usually working with 4 plates at the least. Oh and i also only weigh 200. Do u have any tips on improving my legs though?

So you're saying they don't look like these

what amazes me about his physique is how thick he is, yet his shoulders are comparatively weak.

Meso, really, this post should've been done on the training board.  To post it on the G&O board (which of course is the most popular and most viewed board on GB) rather than on the Training board (which is one of the least popular and viewed; typical GB right?) just indicates to me you just wanted the attention.  Sorry brah.  I'm not a hater either, as I think your lifts are very impressive.

Your insights are amazing.  Thanks for sharing. Maybe Arnold is a double-yolked egg?

I understand where you're coming from.  But I'm sure you realize that by listing the poundages that you use rather than just simply listing down how many reps you're doing each set or other intricacies of how you perform the exercises, that it will come off to some if not most that you're just showing off.  I use the 145's on Incline Dumbell Presses for 7 to 8 reps myself, but even posting this I'm aware that most readers will doubt it.

people don't doubt it so much as meso modest is kind of a pompous ass who deserves shit ... sort of like groin. they both periodically need validation from anonymous strangers on the web who do not work out.  on another note, they both probably lie about drug usage, but that is up in the air... the pompous ass part isnt.

Where I pres 160 lbs dumbbells or 60 lbs is irrelevant
As heavy is relative
But my guess if I could only press the latter (60lbs) it would be cool ... And I wouldn't be a show off then
Human nature is a funny thing.
I post the poundage because it's what I do Why should I be ashamed of it or hide it. Or better yet tell me what would be an acceptable poundage to list 70lbs would that be ok and not be showing off
...
Please...

You shouldn't be ashamed of your lifts at all; you should be proud.  I'm proud of the progress I've made over the past 20 years of working out (I still remember struggling with the 65's).  But the pride should be within yourself, and that in itself should be enough.  Again, you know that by listing your poundages that many on here will view it as you showing off, which will get in the way of what you say you're trying to accomplish by posting your chest workout.  Why not just post the workout without any poundages?
