If you are to describe that an area contains something. And the area is a couple of blocks. How do you say it correctly:

"In just a few blocks you'll find all the top bodybuilding gyms"

"Over just a few blocks you'll find all the top bodybuilding gyms"

Any english speakers who want to clear this up?

.. Oh and Kai Greene is a renowned grammar artist using all the big words he can possibly think of in any given sentence, so now this is bodybuilding related.

I would say "Over ..." is correct

"Over ..." sounds like the gyms are floating. Preferable would be:

"you'll find all the top bodybuilding gyms in just a few blocks"

But the sentence isn't to be restructured as it is one in a fixed context. I was only after the correct preposition for the start of this particular sentence.

I have come to the conclusion that it is both right to say

"Over a few blocks you'll find ..."

and

"Within a few block you'll find ..."

It's funny that I posted this in the correct section first, General Topics, but that place seems pretty desert.

Came to the realization that a lot of these Off Topic threads you see probably are posted here with full intent because it's simply better traffic and faster answers.

Over is not correct .. over is a descriptor of height if you want to be totally accurate .. unless the gyms are "above" the blocks "WITHIN" is correct

'In a few blocks' would only be correct if the receiver was already traveling in that direction.

Would start by making sure the grammar/rhetoric in your title is correct, as in "Your ass in this thread," not "you ass in this thread."
