He wasn't a millionaire afterwards thats for sure (after the initial meeting in london). And might have spent it also, he seemed to have been into Expensive shit in his "former life" as he calls it.

He did muster up 50.000£ or whatever it was pretty fast.

I dont recall the actuall ammount, he was aiming hish and then said "that was a big fail I only managed to ...." and it was 50k £ or something, at it seems like he just did it all form trading
