Brining kids into a stable group of well behaved people they can lookup to would do the same.

That video you showed was very extreme. Why do you think someone bothered to put it on the internet. I agree that was to extreme. There is nothing wrong with taking your kids to sunday school letting them sing hymns and learn the good word. The people in the video were to extreme for my liking.

Singing classes and rounding up a bunch of well behaved friends that could be used as good rolemodels?

Great thing about America it's a free country. If you don't like religion you don't have to participate or go to any churches. You won't get beat and tortured for it like the muslims you and the other idiot liberals like to defend. People have a choice in America. Once kids reach 16 they don't have to go to church any longer.

Such a great way of thinking: let some religious insitution (with a shady past like all of them have) have the monopoly of moral values. i'm not even sure I really need a God above to know right from wrong. But what I'm sure off is that I don't need some self-proclaimed spreader of the good word to teach me this.

People try to "will" themselves through religion. In reality they are just scared of the possibility of the nothing that awaits them upon death. People needed guidance 2,000+ years ago on how to live a good life, these days it should come naturally. Ask the families of the 85 kids that died what they think of god now. It has always been a mixture of luck, and natural selection. I am not religious nor am I an athiest, I am a wait n seeist.

Don't listen then. No one said you have to listen to any pastor preacher or whatever. If you don't like it good you don't have to do it. Why bitch about it some much though.

Just because less than half do it is irrelevant to saying that something is completely outlawed or banned. I hate how some christians go on a rant about how all prayer or mention of Jesus is banned but all other religions are accepted in public schools.

It is legally permissible for a teacher to read the Bible as a form of literature. There can be prayers in school. What there cant be is a school mandated prayer or where the school endorses a certain type of religion over others. Little jewish timmy can't be told by his kindergarten teacher that he will burn in hell for not accepting Jesus, just like little christian tommy can't be forced to face mecca by his muslim teacher, etc.
