Just sent off some of the 'monkeys' after a 24 hour 'tour' of some of the best and worst places in LV.
All were very excited about this past weekend's success of the movie and the excellent performance by the principal motion capture monkeys.
For you movie facts fans, I was incorrect about the actual location that was used for the Muir Woods entrance scenes. That scene was actually shot in the Vancouver area and not In Marin County, Cal.
And the opening scenes where BLUE-EYES (Caesar's mother) was photographed was shot in a park over by Pellius' house on the North Shore, I'm told.
The monkey forgot that park's name. (Typical monkey.)
Up next on my 'dance card' is ATTACK THE BLOCK ... a relatively small film about a teen gang in South London defending their block from an alien invasion.
It's been gettig good reviews.
Doc, "NO!", to your SAG card question. I had no idea what SAG even was until many years later.
All who worked on the project did so as independents and fellow 'thespians' with no pay simply for the love and fun of it on weekend days off while the wives stayed home to take care of the horses. (Stunt horses.)
I never saw a nickel (no residuals for dead guys) but I have heard that there were some profits as a result of overseas distribution and drive in theater showings which were doled out according to the understanding of all involved ... except for dead guy of course.
