1) constant updates from people's lives you could care less about
2) most of the people you "reconnect" with are livning in another city or country, dead, or could not give a fuck about you in the first place. .
3) its not healthy, mentally, to build relationships with people on the internet. I dont get it. Why would Joe who graduated in 1995 go on facebook in 2011 to see his lifelong crush since his freshmen year in high school married with kids and a husband? Must feel great

no coincidence the majority of suicides today are brought on by facebook
4) the fact that third parties can easily find out alot about your life and who you know. There is a stalker everywhere friends everywhere and some are on this sight!

Its very easy to get caught up in it, but trust me it is not the way to go through life. Every minute wasted on there,is a minute you could be outside at the beach enjoying the beautiful weather, going on a walk in the woods enjoying the beautiful nature. Shit I just came back from a walk in the woods this morning and I saw a rattlesnake which was pretty cool

. who knows...You could be making new friends, meeting some girl who rocks your world..a man should not have a facebook account, period. I dont think women should have one either but they need it or they go crazy. But a man has no business having one. Its a very feminine thing to do.

Now I am guilty of it myself. I had some friend make one for me, never used it for years, but with time I started going on it regularly. Its addicting yes. but not healthy in my opinon..Out of respect for gh15 in case this may of been his last posting, I have deleted my facebook... and all pupils should do the same. Try it..you will feel much better and you got nothing to loose.

You can use it to hook up with females, network , etc...

I deleted mine and haven't missed it a bit.

I think facebook often shows you how little you like most of your friends.

It was also exhausting trying to manufacture an online identity which was supposed to correspond to the "real me." No matter what I did on the site, I felt like I was just making a cheap imitation of myself.

People who are best at it are usually fakes...Just because you see pics of them always out, smiling with significant others---it's a pic. And we are conditioned to "smile" for a pic...
I know of several women who have all these smiley pics, and are some of the most needy, lonely, attention starved women that I know.
Some of the best people in terms of profiles, don't have a whole lot of pics, and or use FB for business purposes...not to rack up a shit load of "friends".
