Well, then how would you explain that a friend of mine who trains like a powerlifter; benches, squats and deadlifts a fair bit more than myself. Yet anytime we lock it up wrestling style/mercy fight style, I totally dominate him in every aspect. I'm only currently benching 185lbs 4x6 , but I use pristine form/tempo and pretty much only isolate the chest. Same with squats, 215lbs 4x6, nothing to brag about, but its all quads. This is speculation, but in wrestling the muscles are forced under constant tension and since a lot of these muscles aren't being fully stimulated in a powerlift, how can you actually expect the MUSCLE to be stronger.
