by the way, how many times a week can naturals train without doing more harm than good? (increased cortisol and glucocorticoids, decreased testosterone etc, all consequences of too much drug free training)
i train 3 times a week 5x5 type stuff, considering cutting back to 2 times or should i focus on getting out of the gym in 45 minutes? it usually takes me 1.5 hours to 2 hours or more because i have a workout partner and that slows shit down
I think, in general, hitting the weights 3 times per week is fine, both for naturals and the chemical enhanced. There are so many factors like, being on a split or full body workout, frequency , intensity, volume, recovery time, nutrition, your job, family, etc... etc... I would say, just listen to your body/mind. Do you feel fit, recovered, a good mood, etc...?
IMO for pure weight training 1.5-2 hours is way too much, even with a partner. I would suggest to decrease the volume and time between sets.
