No, I served until the issues were discovered which were after basic.  Afterward I was reassigned to general duties around base until I was discharged....most doing guard duty at the armory depot and supply entry.   I left with 3 ribbons, a rifle and grenade qualification and rank of PFC.  Its just the way things go but  I also get full VA benefits so I don't have any real medical bills. 

The only thing that sucked was that I spend 4 years drilling and training in JROTC only to have that occur.  But that's life I guess.  Overall, I don't have any regrets and the Army toughened me up and made me more serious about achieving goals in life.....but shit happens
